I received my NAO 2 approval the 27th of July and I'm wrapping up my I-134 form and all required paperwork and I'm indecisive if I should include a Co-Sponsor for my petition or not. I'm currently a student working part time and work generally 40-45 hours every two week. I graduate by the end of the year, and for this years (2018) average wage i'm meeting borderline the minimum requirement for the K-1 household of two. Should I calculate it with a lower average of hours or should I just "meet" the income requirement myself? My father is willing to support me with his income, or should I do it myself? I know to apply for the green card the minimum is higher but by then I have graduated and working full time, so meeting that requirement should be no problem. Would having my father Co-Sponser boost my approval percentage?

Thanks!!!

Does your current total monthly income when multiplied by 12 to get an estimate of your annual income meets the current 2018 poverty guideline? If you are barely meeting it, consider adding your dad as a co-sponsor. Always more prudent to refer to the 125% just to be safe. Sorry, I like to eliminate all possibilities of any unnecessary delays 😂

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Yeah, so basically be safe than sorry. I think adding would be the best option.

Your dad's OK with it, then definitely get all the paperwork in order :) All the best!!
