Hello my name is Basit. I am Ghanaian and my wife is American. She is leaving with me here in Ghana and we have filed for  i130 spousal visa for my self and my two boys,12 year old and a 3 year old boy.We filed our documents and now have received email from embassy needing more proof of marriage and relationship.  We submitted pics, bank statements, lease agreement, ownership of car documents we applied but they are asking for this again, and in addition to affidavits from family and and friends who witness our marriage, and also they are asking for my two boys dna test which we are in the process of doing it,and the boys mothers swearing affidavit that we where never married, which I am doing that too. Has anyone else had this problem does it mean we might not be approved?

I know this couple personally. I’m shocked at the struggles that they’ve had to go through to get to the point where they’re at. Not only has my friend left the United States to live in Ghana one time, she is now and going to the second time to prove to the US Embassy that this is a bona fide relationship. I know there are so many hoops to go through but I know this will be the final battle. They have more trips and evidence than anyone I know.

Yes Ghana is very high fraud Embassy country (as is Kenya too). I thought he meant the wife is LIVING with him in Ghana? Did I understand that correctly? if so, there is a record of her coming into Ghana. Submit proof of that. Also, any ownership of property? Rental? Day to day living activities? Any back home comingling of finances in Ghana and the USA?(Credit Cards, Wills, Codeciles, Power of Attorney etc, Current Bank statements). Does he spend money on the wife too? Send more than you think you require. Photos of events every three months too

Yes. They have sufficient proof of this all. I believe it is all about how to put it together to lay out a clear picture for immigration. She had lived in Ghana over a year total. They have resided together. Had a vehicle together. Pay bills together. Their concern now is getting DNA testing done for his two boys ands proving the validity of all the relationships. They are trying to find out who had went through this step of the process.

I know that you guys would've loved to avoid so many of the things you have had to go through but I just want you to know that I've been here most of the journey with you both. I can't imagine the pain you both have felt. But I have also seen the love you have for eachother grow tremendously through it all. I can't wait until you are all here so we can hang out in the USA!!!!
