Once you pay the Green Card fee, the actual card will be mailed to you.  Your passport is not required to pay the fee or to actually receive the Green Card.....

so mam/sir if i got my passport. andxqe pay it. do we need to send my passport back to them? to get greencard? or we just have to go embassy and they will give the greencard that day. we want to be togethetfast as possible i miss my hubby so much

I'm female.

at what stage of the process are you? Have you had your interview yet? Once you have your interview and are approved your passport will be returned to you with your visa inside it. You then fly to the USA and your visa is endorsed/stamped upon arrival. That endorsement serves as a temporary green card for one year. So you are a green card holder from the minute you have your passport stamped. The plastic green card won't be waiting for you at the airport. It will be mailed to your new home in the USA once it has been made. Mine took 63 days after I arrived. Some people get theirs in a few weeks. It depends.

NOA2: July 21, 2016

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

You have your interview next week on August 17? So your visa is not approved yet. You said you have your interview "in the US" but I assume you mean the US embassy in Manila? Have you had your medical yet? You must also attend the CFO seminar before you can leave the Philippines.

You can can fly here by yourself. I did too. Most of us do. Not a problem. My husband has never been to my home country. It doesn't matter. They won't ask why your husband is not with you when you arrive here. They will ask you to confirm the address and phone number, that's all.

Is it the the first time you have been on a plane? Do you have a friend who has flown before who can explain to you what happens at the Manila airport?

Have you been properly following the instructions about preparing for the interview? It tells you exactly what documents you need to bring.

You really need to read and familiarize yourself with international travel and the immigration system and processing of the country you are moving to live in permanently.

how much is departure tax?? can u recommend me a cheaper flight im from manila. phillipinesor send me link where to look at

You will have to pay a departure fee at the airport in the Philippines, I believe it was 1,600 peso when my wife came here. Also do not forget you need a stamp from CFO to depart
