Let me repeat......I see no reason for her to begin receiving mail at your residence until she is actually in the US.  The Amazon address change I did was done after my wife arrived...

Maybe I'm not getting something here... Are you saying you want your wife to receive some junk mail because you plan to use it as evidence of a bona fide relationship? That's crazy. We have a PO box and we get mail sent to it from all sorts of places for the previous box owner. Likewise at the house we even had a Fedex delivery for a previous occupant. Junk mail doesn't do anything to support a claim of a bona fide relationship. I could sign up online to have a catalog delivered to my house in the name of Axl Rose - doesn't mean I live with him or that we have ever even spoken to one another.

We sent copies of greetings cards sent to both of us (anniversary cards, faith event cards, etc) and personal letters from relatives that made reference to us as a couple  (a letter from my aunt to me that said "I imagine you are very excited to see F again for his birthday" and other such things). But if you are not living together yet (and most couples going through this process aren't) then don't try to make it look like you are. You are muddying the waters there. Focus on the evidence of being together, spending time together, not shoe catalogues. The embassy is not expecting to see mail addressed to her at your address.

I agree 100%. I'm not trying to make it look as if she is living here. I'm just basing this off of legal sites that recommend getting mail in both names.

She is already added to my auto insurance as a non driver,  and thankfully we get mail addressed to both of our names (it wasn't even anything I requested it is just the way the insurance company sends mail). I'm wondering if that is sufficient.

I ask because I listened to an attorney with horror stories of case denials for simply not having mail coming to the same address in both names.  And, yes it was for cases where people were still in different countries.  Of course, I have to question if he had a motive behind the stories (such as $?). I do believe that VJ is a great source for information since it is made up of people, many of whom have completed the entire process.
