Visas in hand, brown package in hand, and airline tickets also.......were ready to go home.....

some questions.......do we need his chest xray to show to immigration or the vaccine sheet the doctor gave him......what exactly will the POE at Ohare ask for? Thanks all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Filed DCF in Jordan from 7-05 to 3-06, Approved for I-R1.

Immigration Free until 2008.

Good question! I'd like to know if there is anything else needed because I thought that all immigrations would need is in the big brown envelope along with his passport and visa!

I know you are both so excited! It isn't long now and you will be starting the new phase of your life . . . . "COMING TO AMERICA!"

Kelly your almost ready to come home. I know you are so excited. I had read that at the POE he will just need to surrender the unopened brown envelope. The chest xray is when Sofyan goes to the doctor here in the states so they have something to compare new xrays too. Just put it up and when he needs them later take to his new dr in the states. I am not sure exactly about the vacination sheet. Good luck and have a wonderful flight home.

I absolutely have no idea... but, I would take to heart what Mary said... to put them up... maybe have them in your overnight bag that you will take on the plane with you... easy to get to JUST IN CASE that they do ask for them at the POE...

Have a safe trip. The POE at LAX just took the package and Claudeth's passport and stamped it. The POE officer was very nice to her only asking just a few questions and pointed her in the direction she needed to go.

Good luck on your trip home and hope it is safe and smoothe. My husband just gave them the brown envelope when he entered at JFK. I suppose his x-ray was inside there too, since he couldn't look. He didn't have a problem and I hope you don't either.

01/26/06 - AOS SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW AND HE GETS HIS FIRST JOB AT FIRST JOB INTERVIEW

02/13/06 - GREEN CARD ARRIVED

4/22/06 - Driver's License!!

11/07/07 - NOA1 received

12/21/07 - Biometrics completed

04/08/08 - 10 YEAR CARD APPROVED

The x-ray is not needed at the POE. And you can keep the vaccination worksheet for your records. There is a copy of it in the sealed envelope.

They didn't ask my husband for his X-ray. But I would keep it handy just in case.... you don't want to leave any loopholes for last-minute problems or delays at POE !! I have heard that rolling it up is an easy way to transport it. Also, I would keep the copy of the vaccination sheet.... who knows.... it might come in handy in the future (and save Sofyan from having to repeat the shots.)

Majid just needed to give them the brown envelope and, of course, show them his passport with the visa! They did pull him aside and ask him a bunch of questions when he entered, what my name was, how we met, etc, and he had to wait while everyone from all the other planes passed him by before they even would talk to him. Hopefully it'll be different for you since you're already married and you'll be together!

At Ohare, Hatem was asked for the brown package and his passport, nothing else. Oh, and he was through the line in just a couple minutes too. I hope yours is just as fast and easy

Cant wait to see you! you live right by Hatem's cousins house and we are there like everyday. Let me know when you get a few minutes, I just might be around the corner looking for a distraction!
