Hi

I got refused today on basis of

My wife didn't upload signed AOS (but she actually uploaded that)

Her income to sponsor is low and they are asking now to have a joint sponsor.

My question is for how long am I hung up again ? How tf long will it take again to get to interview.

You got refused during the interview? Or during the petition stage?

If it was during the interview, they probably told you to just bring the missing documents and also documents of joint-sponsor.

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview.

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

I'm not sure myself but if you got denied I guess you're going to have to start all over again soon as you and your wife get the joint sponsor.

But if they asked you to complete the requirements then I guess there will be, idk, second interview or you can just mail the proof to them. It's basically depends on what they say literally during the interview.

How long will it take.. Well, it depends on the two of you.

I'm sorry to hear that though.

These were his words

Your wife need to submit signed AOS and get a joint sponsor.

When I left the building, he sent guards to get me back then he said I am sorry for the mix up, he got my left hand finger prints and then said Thank You and went away.

####### was that.

This would be just a temporary refusal until you get the joint sponsor forms uploaded.   Once the embassy has this it could take a few weeks or even a few months to complete Administrative Processing.

Actually they are saying your wife will have to fill a new AOS along with joint sponsor and before uploading you will have to make sure both AOS are signed. Now time depends upon you how quickly you can produce required documents. If you can produce documents quickly I don't think it will take too long (may be few weeks). If they kept your passport then they will not call you for new interview otherwise you will have to appear again. Hope this helps.

Sounds like AP. As soon as you can send them a I-864 filled out by a joint sponsor, they'll resume processing your visa.

Yeah, the easy part is uploading the signed AOS.

Make sure that you can find a sponsor that makes enough for both you and the sponsor and their dependents if they have any.

My situation was similar where my husband's income was insufficient. I was given a 221(g) letter outlining what was needed. I was placed in AP and the letter stated I had up to 1 year to provide the required information. After 1 year, my application would be closed as incomplete/denied if the requirement was not filled.

We were able to get his uncle to sponsor me and after 2wks my visa was approved.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not always dark and scary. Just find the sponsor, fill the paperwork, make sure it is signed and completed correctly and submit it to the embassy.

Good luck!
