Hey guys, I am really confused about how can I get my second dose vaccination in USA. I am desperately looking for your help.

I had my medical exam before I got my visa, of course, I also had my first dose vaccination (3 kinds) too. My medical exam package was kept by customs when I arrive in US. Now, I have only a yellow book which is the record book of me getting my first dose in China, and DS-3025 form, and a white paper which is also the record of my first dose vaccination.

Our plan is we get married first, and he will add me to his medical plan, but I have a question, can we go to his doctor to get the second vac or we have to go to the civil surgeon? what document should we prepare?

You go to the doctor recommended by the USCIS. https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor

I saw " You are encouraged to follow up with your private health care provider to complete the series. Once you have received the single dose appropriate at the time, the civil surgeon can sign and certify the Form I-693." Doesnt it mean I could go to our private doctor though?

I suppose.  But you'll still need to visit USCIS doctor to sign and complete your paperwork.

Civil Surgeon is going to be more expensive than your private doctor( Unless your doctor is in Beverly Hills or something) There are only a few Civil Surgeons in each city and they all know if you are coming to them they will charge like they are the only ones that can do vaccinations. I recommend getting vaccinations wherever you can get the best deal. Your private doctor, there are travel vaccination clinics in every city just about that do all types of vaccinations but they too are a little on the high side. Sometimes an Urgent Care will cut a deal either with your insurance or if you cash pay. Best bet is to find a Red Cross office and give them a call and see if they can do it or recommend a place to get them done. Sometimes local health departments do a lot of vaccinations and are very reasonable. Call your local elementary or middle school and talk to the school nurse, all children are pretty much required to get all of the same vaccines you need to attend school here in the US, so she may have a suggestion of where to get them done cheap.

You may be stuck going back to the Civil Surgeon to get your I693 filled out, but if you have all your vaccination records some of them will just transcribe them onto the new form and sign off on your I693 without having to do a whole exam to the tune of 300 Plus dollars. They may only charge you a 100 or so. Just make some calls and see what you can find out. Not sure if you are close to the boarder, but if you can get into Mexico you can get vaccinations on the cheap. Obviously don't travel without your AP/EAD being approved, but depending on timing you may be able to do a Mexico Vacation/ Honeymoon/ Getaway, and get the vaccinations you need done while there.

If you only got the first series though the second set should be done within about a month of the first, then the last of the 3 shot series should be done 6 months after the 2nd round. Granted after you get the second shot series your up to about 80% immunity for most of the 3 shot series vaccinations and the last one is just a booster.
