My case was changed from / to or on the 9th of september, i sent an email to the embassy yesterday to ask if there is any update, and i got the same old response thats no update. Does this invalidate the / to or theory?

Which embassy? When was your interview? What type of visa?

So our case has received 3-4 updates the last 4 weeks (including one yesterday), in addition to changing the / into 'or' and today I see this message!

It freaked the hell out of me this morning, until my lawyer said that it is just their stupid system that displays such a message after a certain period of time!

If my brain gets f**ked up anytime soon, it is because of this f**king process!

Do you guys know anyone who got such a message while being on AP for almost 15 months!!!

Hi,

The same thing happened to me also after around 15 months on AP at Riyadh! I don't remember exactly but I did receive an email from the consulate saying our documents were expiring soon or expired. When i check my case status it had a similar message to yours but it said expired and something about being over a year and our documents being destroyed. The email from the consulate said to update the ds 160, police clearance, and medical report. Once we updated the ds 160 they said they would contact my fiance for reoath. Since this my fiance did go for reaoth and they asked to send passport, medical, and police to the consulate.

This is what happened for my case, maybe the same will happen with yours? Which consulate are you dealing with?

Wow!

The idea of holding someone's passport for that long is shocking for me

I thought they have 10 days limit.

Good luck

That’s how I thought too at first .

But I’ve heard recently of ppl who were asked their passport to the embassy and it took two and a half months to issue their visas and return the passports .

We’ll see what happens .

Thanks for asking bro

That is great. when did this happen? just recently? has your fiance get the visa yet?

My wife is in Amman's embassy.

Today the status changed back to AP. So hopefully they contact us soon! How did they contact you guys? an email to both of you? or only one of you?
