Today our case got an update and the / changed into or! I am trying to be optimistic and hope this superstitious concept is true :D

We shall see if we hear something from the embassy!

My case received 4 updates the past 4 weeks (but one of them due to contacting the White House, which I received a response as a result)!

Praying good news comes our ways!

How do you contact the White House? By email or traditional mail? If by email please send me the email address

My case filled in Amman uscis office ( direct consular filling)

By the way I knew freind who is yemeni the printed his visa after 2 and half months after he drope his passport to Amman embassy,  I am pretty sure you will get your visa, just ignore it.

Sorry forget about the part of my message asking if it was two and a half months from passport delivery or interview 😊. I just read your message again and apparently I didn’t pay attention to what you typed carefully.

Well, I can understand your curiosity; I myself find it difficult to write them :D

I thought that it does not hurt to bombard them with stories about families they are separating! Probably my message finds its way to a staffer who might sympathize with our situation! Second, they need to hear our suffering, even if they do not like to! So I have sent them a dozen of letters asking the WH to intervene and push my wife's waiver application forward!

I definitely knew it is a very long shot; but it does not hurt to try everything we can to ask for our rights!

After all, I received a call from USCIS headquarters a few months ago (the stupid staffer forwarded my request to USCIS instead of Dept. of State) and now I just received a letter from DOS that mentions specific details about my case. In other words, at least someone opened my case and probably had a look at it or probably verified that it is not just sitting in someone's desk covered with dust!

At the end, we do not have a clue how these waivers are being processed and any small action might go a long way!

Not a bad idea if nothing else it raises awareness regarding this issue. Also mailing the supreme court justices, being that they were the ones who upheld this law. I do remember now a lawyer mentioning how we should mail/call the supreme court justices about how this law will affect us (this was before it went into effect, when they were still deliberating about it), but I think it's still worthwhile for us to mail them now too so that in the future when this law is challenged again.

How long after you sent the letters did you receive a response? And did the response provide you with new information about your case or was it things you already knew?

I just did that through a google search. Just write: contact the White house

There is a form you will need to fill out and submit online directly. I wrote three paragraphs explaining my case and provided case details as well.

Nothing new that I did not already know; but they provided details that shows they actually contacted the embassy and someone looked at the case. I guess the message served as a poking device :D

I also wrote all the supreme court justices asking them to re-consider the waiver system! Dunno if they actually read my mail; but nothing to lose by trying!

So I am sure most of you know that now the embassies are issuing immediate visas for CR1/IR1/K1 for travel ban countries (now that the automated system is implemented). SOME people who are interviewing now are reporting immediate visas being granted, no AP. This has started just in past 1 month or so, and I know for certain I have seen people report visas from various different embassies. Is there anyone reading this who has interviewed in the past 1 month? Could you please post your embassy and interview result?

I was interviewed on end of June at embassy of Amman and was called by embassy to send my passport on late July .

i was really surprised about it.

They got my passport on 28th of July and I’m still under AP but got about 9 updates within 40 days so far .

Still waiting for my passport back hopefully with visa stamped on it 🙏🏻

Lol - Ali, all of VJ knows your story - happy to hear your AP was quite short. Have patience, you should have your visa soon. Anybody else interview in the past month? Or do you know anyone who interviewed in the past month - ONLY from travel ban countries please.
