You have nothing to worry about...travel ban doesn't apply to you, at worst you'll be asked to be fill out a DS-5535 but probably not even that

Tbh, a fourth case I know in Riyadh last update was June 24 (they didn’t even get the Aug 15 update) still has the “/“. I don’t know what’s up with that one really. Interview was on October 2018!

Hi my case is also at Riyadh but our last update was June 23rd because we emailed them. My fiancé had his interview in April 10th of this year so next week will mark 5 months of AP. We haven’t received any of those updates but I’m not sure if it’s because we applied for a k1 visa. Also my fiancé isn’t from a ban country he’s Pakistani so I’m confused as to why we’re still in AP. Also what does changing from / to or mean I don’t see that in ceac

Today our case got an update and the / changed into or! I am trying to be optimistic and hope this superstitious concept is true :D

We shall see if we hear something from the embassy!

My case received 4 updates the past 4 weeks (but one of them due to contacting the White House, which I received a response as a result)!

Praying good news comes our ways!

Just curious as to why you would contact the White House, as it’s occupant is the actual reason for the Muslim ban?

Well, I can understand your curiosity; I myself find it difficult to write them :D

I thought that it does not hurt to bombard them with stories about families they are separating! Probably my message finds its way to a staffer who might sympathize with our situation! Second, they need to hear our suffering, even if they do not like to! So I have sent them a dozen of letters asking the WH to intervene and push my wife's waiver application forward!

I definitely knew it is a very long shot; but it does not hurt to try everything we can to ask for our rights!

After all, I received a call from USCIS headquarters a few months ago (the stupid staffer forwarded my request to USCIS instead of Dept. of State) and now I just received a letter from DOS that mentions specific details about my case. In other words, at least someone opened my case and probably had a look at it or probably verified that it is not just sitting in someone's desk covered with dust!

At the end, we do not have a clue how these waivers are being processed and any small action might go a long way!

Yeah man  I also got a call last winter from someone at USCIS after writing the White House, the VP, and a few other directors at some agencies. I'm not sure which letter prompted the call, but in the end even the USCIS rep was laughing at the absurdity of the request being forwarded to them. I hope you get contacted soon to wrap things up.
