i called the nvc its seems they have some problems

What do you mean? What kind of problems? By the way, when you've called NVC, have they been willing to tell you the reason CEAC has been updated for something? Maybe this is a way to find out more details than what the embassy says?

I don't think I can handle this wait even half as long as some of you ..it's been three months going on four but the whole process probably more than a year...I'm considering giving up and leaving the US, and maybe reapplying for marriage based visa instead of fiance. This is just too difficult having zero idea or clue when they're going to approve it.

It was bad enough that they changed the status a few times , don't tell you why , and give you hope thinking it will be approved soon, then ask for the same form again - you have zero idea why, and zero idea if this could add another one week or another one year to your wait

Hi Joey,

I applied for my fiance as well and we are on the same boat. How often do you email the US consulate to ask about your case?

Also, have you asked a congressman to inquire about your case?

My attorney said minimum 6 months so i think it is worth the wait

I've been e-mailing them about once a month, but in the last week a bit more times since they asked for a new DS-5535.  I haven't asked a congressman to inquire about the case.

Does your AP message said "mailed/available" or "mailed or available". Have you had updates since August 15?

When they did ask for our DS5535 for the second time, that was on June 3th (after about a month from the interview)

Then there was the following updates:

June 11 (assuming they added the form to the file)

Aug 2 (bcz of Congresswomen inquired and the status was updates )

Aug 15

Aug 23

if your case has been updated, this is  a good sign. That means they are working on it and it is not sitting on someones desk .

I do email them weekly or every ten days. Also I do ask my fiance to email them as well since it is his case and he has to ask. Just make sure the email is professional and always appreciate their effort.

I do think emailing them all the time will put pressure on them to check the case.

Have some faith and patient . I have been with my fiance in long distance relationship since 2012 so we really got tired but at the same time we decided to give it sometime and have faith.

Filing marriage means you will wait for USCIS to get to your case which usually take so long

I do think we are almost there :) Inshallah; especially with the increment of the  visa numbers

Thanks for the positive energy and viewpoint. I'm really hoping for the increment of the visa numbers to make an impact. We are on a similar boat, Syrian fiance with interview in May 2019. The only thing that bothers me is asking for DS-5535 a second time. Did you check your AP message for the "/" vs. "or"?

Mine is or. Not sure when that was changed tho. I noticed it on the 15th when members in this thread has mentioned it. Not sure when mine was changed exactly

I asked my attorney about it and she laughed hahaha

Let's hope that September will bring good news for all :)

Martige visa is same wait maybe more since u r already there it is easier for u. My experiness and guess the average is 14 month after interview unless they put another shitty low to delay it more
