Why are they requesting info that they definitely already have about you..how redundant..what incompetent officers..

I think this is normal as they need to make sure the applicant/lawyer is asking about the right case .. and btw I got an update on September 2nd but I’m not sure if it was a normal update because they were working on my case or it’s was because of the email inquiry.. the last update was August 15th.

We’ll wait and see

Has anyone been asked to resubmit DS160 or DS260 from the Abu Dhabi embassy?? Trying to figure out if they only ask for these forms to be resubmitted or if Abu Dhabi will only ask for DS5535 to be sent again

Hello

My name is Sahal and my wife had an interview in US Embassy in Djibouti on November 2018. My case is still in AP since that time. I would like to know if somebody has  the same situation.

So I asked the embassy what's going on and if DS-5535 actually needs to be re-sent; they said simply yes that they need a new DS-5535. They did not say why; I don't know if it's just to update the same way you guys are being asked to update DS-160 or what not; after sending it, I see the CEAC site updated and now the "mailed or available" changed back to "/" ("mailed/available"). I'm really depressed now because I don't know if this just reset the entire process and reset the clock or if it's simply updating some info.

Does anyone know if anyone has been changed before from "or" back to "/" again before issuance? Any insight or advice is appreciated.

I reached out to my Senator's rep about a few things (the new automated system and the end of September deadline for reporting on the ban). This is the response I got:

From my understanding, 5 months of administration processing in travel ban related cases would be at the low end.  I’ve consistently been told that post-interview processing takes 10 months or more.  I have not heard that the automated system would have an impact on wait times, though I truly hope it does.

She also said that someone else from the office is supposed to follow up on whether the September deadline will be extended. I hope it will so that the DOS is held accountable for this travel ban.

I was surprised by her answer- I really felt the increase in visas was from the new automated system. I am not sure to take her comments as positive news or not.

Praying we all hear good news soon!
