Kuala Lumpur.. They are really good with email response.

It seems like that embassy is really proactive with travel ban AP. There was a guy on this forum last fall that pleaded with them and they finished up his wife's AP in 45 days or so... with no medical emergency pending either.  I wish we had interviewed there. The Frankfurt consulate is not bad with responding but it's typically the generic message everyone else gets. I've written the Ambassador a few times and got a more detailed but essentially the same response.

NOA1: 26 July 2017

NOA2: 2 February 2018

NVC Received: 13 February 2018

NVC Case # Assigned: 22 February 2018

NVC Left: 27 February 2018

Consulate Received: 1 March 2018

Packet 3 Received: 10 March 2018

Packet 3 Sent: 8 October 2018 (we delayed intentionally)

Interview: 31 October 2018

Currently in AP!!! :(

This is a misconception - the embassy has absolutely nothing to do with how long your AP is. In fact, the person who is responding to email is a low level employee, often local people - I know because I have seen responses in broken English. Its very likely that embassies that ignore you or no longer respond have been bombarded with email. Embassies that are pro-active - Kuala lumpur, and some others are just not very busy.

What I think is that the updates we get on our CEAC happen by the embassy itself for one simple reason .

I’ve been watching my CEAC and noticed that all the updates I got happened between 9am & 4 pm my and my embassy time “ Amman “ which is  2 am to 9 am Washington time .

How would you explain the August 15 update that we all received? It was around 11:30 PM in Washington time zone and 6:30 AM Riyadh time (Aug 16 on a Friday)?

the updates done by both local embassy and DoS.

updates on 15 could really been just a glitch on the system. as there is now way DoS or all embassy around the world done the update at the same time.

ali did you send email your case is talking long you need to check mabye they really just forget about ur case. you need to remind them.
