Interview was in Montreal, we had four to five updates right after the interview and then they stopped on feb 2019 until I sent them an inquiry on August 1st where they updated it. Later on August 15th they updated the case with no further inquiries or emails then Yesterday aug22 they updated again and after 2 or 3 hours they sent an email requesting a new medical exam and proof of Canadian status. Now we worry about how long will take further to issue the visa.

Similar thing happened to me (interviewed in Riyadh) - my case was updated, and they emailed us to update medical, police clearance and ds160. Updated them and they said the consulate would contact us for a re oath. It's been a month since this happened and they still haven't reached out and now my emails are being ignored 😕 

 

I first thought this meant our visa would finally be approved, now I dont know what to think

No they didn’t ask for passport. Probably it’s a different process in Montreal. Hopefully things will be faster. Now we need at least two weeks before we hear back from them since she has to get new medical exam and mail it.

I recieved an email from the Embassy ,asking for my passport ,redo the medical test and update DS260 .but they do not mention any thing about police clearance, (( my Visa type  IR,interview was August 2018 .))

Do they miss to mention about police clearance, or it's not required ?

Hey man, the police clearance is valid for one year, medical examination is valid for 6 months thats why they asked for re medical.

It is AbuDhabi. They assign only Mondays for receiving Documents and doing oath. 

So my medical test will ready tomorrow. But police clearance need time especially from Syria.

But my police clearance was issued in July 2018 and my interview was beginning of August .

For my case the address in The US

Ir current address if changed .

I noticed they add new field for Social media.

AbuDhabi.  I am Syrian. 

The embassy in Amman asked me for my passport a month ago and I sent it and it’s been with them for 25 days so far and haven’t heard anything from them .. I hope things will be different with Abu Dhabi embassy . 

I wonder when I’ll get it back

Congratulations! 
I would say stick to the instructions from the embassy. When they ask about the police clearance then you can start warring about it.
