Hello everyone,

has anyone received good news the past two days? I know someone Syrian in Kuwait just received a call from the US embassy (after 11 months and a half of AP) and told him AP is over for him and that the Washington office has recently started approving alll the backlogged cases!!

Please update us if you hear anything!

I already started filing the Mandamus and want to know if I should wait!

I heard 2 Syrians in Syria got an e-mail the visa was issued in Lebanon a few days ago.

for how long were they on AP? can you check if you can please? it seems there is some new guidance on waiver implementation! or maybe it is just about time for the backlog to end!

Hey guys,

My country is included in the travel ban as well and I am about to petition i-130 for my parents ( I am a recent U.S citizen). Anything special I need to include in my packet that I am going to send to USCIS ? or should just send the required documents for the petition ? any advice / tips will be much appreciated.

Just follow normal procedures.  No need to worry about the ban during the filing part of this journey.

The Visa has been issued today :)  Administrative processing for about 20 days after the interview.
Don't lose hope and stay strong.

@Ameen2019this is so great for you!  Congrats. Get the visa and get the hell on an airplane :) You never know what he will change at any moment.

Can I pry and ask if there is some circumstance that made this happen in only 20 days? For example, is there a medical issue? That's very fast and is either a sign of things changing, or just personal to your case.  Thanks.

Thank u dear. No special circumstances. I think we got the visa that fast because my wife was born in Saudi and we provided evidence that she has never lived in Syria. We provided details of her travels in the past 15 years in the form ds 5535.  So her police clearance was only issued from Saudi.  I believe this is what help us the most.

Does the annotation under the visa say "Presidential proclamation waived"?

I have seen close to 20 visas issued just in abudhabi just to iranians in july so something seems to be moving. Most of these interviewed in mid to late 2018 but surprisingly some from June 2019 as well.

This can only mean that a new, faster process has been implemented for low risk individuals. The visas i have seen are mostly women and parents. Men are in there too but its maybe 30 percent men 70 percent women.

In your case being in saudi is a definite plus. Even previously i had seen 4 month ap for people in your situation.  But 20 days is a new record 🙂
