11K pending review. That means approx 1K per month being added to the queue. 6K approved (Is this 6K or 3K?). That means approx (300-500) per month being processed. This means an exponentially increasing backlog of atleast 500/month. Assuming FIFO, this means each month the wait will get longer by 2 more months. So if AP was 1.5 year today, someone interviewing next year will have 3 year AP.

Per the letter released by the Senator here:  https://www.vanhollen.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/State Dept Response to Oct Muslim Ban Letter.pdf

"Between December 8, 2017 and October 31, 2018, consular officers issued 2,578 visas to applicants based on an exception to the waiver."

and then

"...consular officers determined that 2,216 applicants met all three criteria for a waiver."

What a slow process.

NOA1: 26 July 2017

NOA2: 2 February 2018

NVC Received: 13 February 2018

NVC Case # Assigned: 22 February 2018

NVC Left: 27 February 2018

Consulate Received: 1 March 2018

Packet 3 Received: 10 March 2018

Packet 3 Sent: 8 October 2018 (we delayed intentionally)

Interview: 31 October 2018

Currently in AP!!! :(

So this means they are clearing 200 a month. And adding 800 more to the backlog each month. This makes sense because you can see from my chart in my earlier post, they are putting approx 200 Iranians in AP each month.

This is going to be disaster unless they figure out (or a lawsuit forces them) a way to speed it up. At this rate 2 years from now, the average AP might get longer than a lifetime.

What a joke

is AP waiting time different for each country based on the number of applicants? or its averaged all together? in other words is AP waiting time for Iranians the same as AP waiting time for Syrians or it could be shorter or longer?

Hello guys,

i have been approached by an NGO to join them as a plaintiff in a class action lawsuit.

If they ask for more people, is anyone interested in joining?

we need to sue this administration’s ###!

I am in! Not sure if it would help us at all- but I live in MD and Senator Van Hollen's office is monitoring our case.
