It was updated from refused to AP within 2 weeks of interview after submitting additional requested info....and they updated once more only when senator asked to inquire about the case. Since then its been 7 months without updates despite repeated attempts to contact them.

Hi everyone. The march numbers are out. More of the same. Yemen numbers are good. Everyone else is horrendous. I did some number crunching on Iranian numbers. You can see that we are still at 10-30 percent for spouses of pre ban levels (I took out the DV and some other noise). I take this to mean that average AP is at least 1 year and 3 months (because otherwise we should have seen all december 2018/jan 2019 visas issued). Before you shoot the messenger, please provide logical arguments to the contrary if you can come up with them.

Is this for Iran? I wonder why in Syria there are always 100+ B1/B2 visas each month, yet the State department put out that they've only issued less than 3000. I should tally up all of the issued visas.

Yes these are Iranian numbers. Syrian are similar. Tons of B1/B2s for iran as well. Hard to explain why.

Yemen does have better numbers, but even before the ban they had a lot more people applying, and the State department has clearly said they are prioritizing Yemenis in djibouti.

Bottom line is average AP for Iranian spouses seems to be more than 1 year and 3 months (not sure how much more).

Since the data released to SEN Van Hollen showed more than 11,000 applicants are pending review (as of last October), at this rate I'm more inclined to think that the process is never going to be adequate to handle the backlog. With that number growing, they are never going to be able to reach old levels again.

i have been approached by an NGO to join them as a plaintiff in a class action lawsuit.

If they ask for more people, is anyone interested in joining?

Until the next President decides to change it.  The Supreme Court has already ruled........any lawsuit will do nothing...except maybe line the pockets of some attorneys.......imo.

11K pending review. That means approx 1K per month being added to the queue. 6K approved (Is this 6K or 3K?). That means approx (300-500) per month being processed. This means an exponentially increasing backlog of atleast 500/month. Assuming FIFO, this means each month the wait will get longer by 2 more months. So if AP was 1.5 year today, someone interviewing next year will have 3 year AP.
