Hi everyone

hope you all will be reunited with your loved ones soon 🙏🏻

I have a question and I hope anyone who has an answer or any information about it to provide me with it ..

Has any of you “ Syrians in particular “ been rejected or been subject to delay of getting visas in regard to military service! Or have you heard of any cases like that !

Does military service have anything to do with rejecting a visa or delaying it !

Thank you in advance for any help and wish the best to come for all of you 🙏🏻

My interview was in Amman in June 2019 and I’ve been in AP since then .

I don't know someone who is similar to your situation. But just wait for them don't worry about that. You will get soon your visa in shaaAllah.

Hello everyone, quick question my brother and sis had their interview in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on December 17 and they were denied a visa because of (Trump😡) so their case status showed denied but when i sent back everything they requested the status changed to administrative processing, my question is has anyone ever been denied a visa then issued and how long the wait was?

we are from 🇸🇴 Somalia

Was it an immigrant visa? No immigrant visas can be issues to citizens of Somalia. Did they apply for a waiver?

On what grounds would they receive a waiver? Under Section 201(b) on the INA you are not considered close family members so they would not qualify for a waiver due to undue hardship. Is there any national interest they would qualify for?

Well you asked about the wait. So based on the info you've provided you'll be waiting at least until there is someone else in the white house

My wife was in a similar situation Syrian interviewed in Ankara. We were refused under the travel ban and contacted 3 weeks later to send the passport for visa processing. She’s now with me in the states.
