India

We were in Europe and first traveled to Canada and then drove across the US border a few days later. They did question us why we decided to do that, so they might also ask you. For us, we had a valid reason since my employer is in Canada and my vehicle was up there. They didn't ask anything further on that. I hope your experience is just as smooth. Still, I advise that you get on the next plane to USA. The guy is not stable and there's no telling what changes may occur in the next month.

NOA1: 26 July 2017

NOA2: 2 February 2018

NVC Received: 13 February 2018

NVC Case # Assigned: 22 February 2018

NVC Left: 27 February 2018

Consulate Received: 1 March 2018

Packet 3 Received: 10 March 2018

Packet 3 Sent: 8 October 2018 (we delayed intentionally)

Interview: 31 October 2018

Currently in AP!!! :(

We also went to Refused after the interview. After we submitted the information they consulate asked for, our status changed to Administrative Processing.  This seems normal. Send them what they want and I suspect it will change to AP.

This is a relief. How long did it take them to change to AP after Refused and also how long are you in AP now if you don’t mind telling me?

It only took about a day or two to change from refused to AP after they received our documents, but that may vary per embassy.  We were in AP for 1 year almost exactly, and we just last month got our visa and are in the US together finally.

Wow one year in AP, that is draining and so stressful. Hopefully ours don’t take that long.... I’m happy you guys are finally together and don’t have to worry about this process anymore. Hope you guys have a wonderful marriage life ☺️

Finally, visa status shows issued today.

It took the us consulate in frankfurt almost a month to contact us after / changed to or.

I believe the / to or is absolutely true. It just varies from embassy to embassy how long they will take to reach out. Frankfurt seems to be slower than others.

First interview was Oct 24th 2018 so We had to do second interview on Oct 28th 2019, so total AP processing almost a year.

I hope every one gets their visa soon.

A Syrian friend of mine recently did his interview for CR-1 visa in Amman embassy and he wasn't put in AP. They just told him they would need a couple of days to process the waiver and issue the visa. Don't worry I think your husband will get his passport back with the visa issued on it soon. Since at the embassy they never mentioned AP to you and they requested his passport I think you are good.

The new automatic waiver process has made things faster for people who are having their interviews recently.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Anybody here that hasn’t gotten an update since August 15?

I was also wondering about this.  I emiled ambassy Aug 14 to ask about 1yr 2 month AP status and I got immediate update on CEAC on Aug 15. I was shocked to get a quick update until i realized alot of people got an update that day.

Many since then have been contacted by embassy or gotten theie visas or multiple updates since then.

I have no updates since then...i emailed embassy again several days ago and still no updates. It seems my case never gets updated unless I contact my senator to do an inquiry for me

Also what happened with the group of individuals from this group whom filed a joint WOM together? How much did each party have to pay? And are there any others interested in perhaps joining together to do the same that have not yet done so?

I don't know about the other group but Curtis Morrison is planning on filing another case this month. I plan on participating and I know they have others who are going to do it. His email is curtis@curtismorrisonlaw.com
