Good Morning!

So my husband got the following email from Madrid Embassy this morning:

To continue with the process of your immigrant visa we need you to send an scanned copy of your passport to this email address, the pages with the biographic data (photo, passport number, issuance and expiration date, etc.).

The Consular officer will review your case once the scanned copy has been received.

Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section

U.S. Embassy Madrid

Also his status changed from the "/" to the "or".

They already have his passport page- so I don't understand why they need it again. Has anyone else received a similar email? Do you think he will get his visa soon. Today is 1 year since we were approved at USCIS and it has been a little over 6 months (April 3rd) since his interview.

Praying that maybe he will get his visa and be here in the US by Thanksgiving!!

Dear all,

FINALLY; my wife got her visa today.

Here is a summary of all the ####### we have gone through:

Filed I-130 on05/13/2017

Interviewed in Amman on 06/24/18

We filed WOM on 07/26/19

We received a call from the embassy on 09/17/19 to re-do medical exam and submit DS-260 and police certificate. They also informed us that we are scheduled for a re-oath on 10/26/19

My wife went to Amman embassy and the re-oath was a group one. There were over 150 people scheduled for a re-oath and all of them were Syrians!

After the re-oath, the embassy gave applicants a slip of paper and asked them to come back after two days to pick up their passports. After handing out the passports today, applicants went through a face to face survey asking questions about the situation in  syria such as safety, livelihood etc...

And now we come to closure!

Congratulations.  I am very happy for you.

This is so weird the questions about Syria after they recieved their Visas 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I - 751 package:

Help please:

We got a second email yesterday (see below)- the question is how should we get the passport to the Embassy? Does my husband have to mail it or is it ok for him to go to the embassy and drop it off? He has his medical scheduled for this coming Thursday so we are hoping that maybe he can get his visa by the end of next week.

We emailed the embassy to get clarification but they have not responded. So close to the end of the process but still so much to figure out :)

Please, send your passport so we can complete the immigrant visa process, also we will need a new medical exam (see instructions attached), as the previous one you presented expired on September.

We had 2 updates this week but haven’t received any good news.

Interview was back in June, The last thing they requested from us was a resume, its the oddest thing since my wife has not worked and her educational bio is all mentioned in the ds-260 form.

We arrived back to our home in Texas with no issues at the border. It was a fun 4 day road trip from Canada. The border patrol officer did question why we were crossing from Canada instead of Germany (where her visa was issued) and when I started to explain the issues due to the travel ban, he cut me off, apologized, and quickly processed our paperwork. It was a good feeling!

We received the visa on the 14th. We elected to pick it up at the Mailboxes Etc in Frankfurt and flew immediately from there. I heard that the Frankfurt consulate processes mostly on Fridays.  Hopefully you hear from them tomorrow. We also had a lot of updates, and then nothing, and the following Friday they reached out.
