Hi all. Happy that people are finally getting good news. My husband and I also got some good news- I am pregnant. 🤰🏻Now the pressure is on for him to come before May. I really hope he will arrive before the baby. We knew it was chancy but I am turning 35 in January and can’t keep waiting to start our family. October 3 (a day after I turn 8 weeks) will be 6 months in AP. 😢

On a different note- is anyone coming to the Congressional meeting next Tuesday about the ban. My sister and I are going. This is our chance to speak up and show that this ban is hurting real people. If you live near DC I hope you will join me.

Praying we can all be with our loved ones soon!

Congrats, that is such exciting news! You and P will be excellent parents and will finally be together before you know it 💕💕💕

Hello jess, congrats, you need to send them email asking for medical emergency expedition.

it happened to my friend, his wife was going to have a surgery, his laywer send the embassy an email asking for this kind of expedition, the embassy accepted  and they issued his visa in 3 weeks, try to get a medical report to support your request , good luck

Hey guys, so finally the us embassy in cairo contacted me last Wednesday, (/ was changes to or 2 days) before they contacted me, i have been in AP for 9 months, visa type IR1, and already i filled joined mandamus action one month ago but still not finished, the embassy asked me for new medical, 2 personal photos, police clearance and my passport, they didn't ask me to update my DS-260 (p.s in my ds260 my old passport number but  at the interview i had my new passport and i told them that, they said no problem) so do you think i need to update the DS-260??!!

And does any one know How long US embassy in cairo/egypt take to send my passport back????

anyways, things are getting better so soon all of us will be reunited with our families, good luck

Also i discovered something, when you check the monthly visa issuance and you see they are issuing IR1 more than CR1 visa don't panic,

it turned out that if your visa type is Cr1 and you have been waiting for more than 2 years(from the second you files the I-130 till the visa issuance date ) they will change the CR1 to  IR1 visa, and this is a good thing because once you are there you will get your permanent green card not the conditional green card, enjoy it

Congrats to all!  Also... to us!  We were contacted today by the Frankfurt consulate to finalize our visa application. We'll have to get new police certificates, do a new medical exam, mail it in and wait approximately two weeks for the consulate to finish processing. We're right around 11 months of AP and they are asking us to do it swiftly so that we can avoid having to do another interview (necessary if > 12 months).

WOO HOO!

Are you sure about this? I thought they would give you CR1 and then you have to request an adjustment at the POE.

100% sure and if you want to make sure go to your ceac website where you submitted the documents to NVC and check your visa type, they changed mine to IR1 and it happened to my friend too

Also guys piece of advise, once you notice that they change the / to an or, start to do the medical and the police  clearance, they will be valid for 6 months(the medical) and for one year (the police clearance), so in this way you will surprise the embassy by being super fast, and you will save some weeks too

Great to know, thank you! We are still less than 2 years, we still haven't done our first interview. But it's good to know this info, because I am predicting we will be more than 2 years at the time of the visa issuance. Congratulations by the way!
