I-134 and dependent Question

Quick question, I claimed my sisters kids for two years in a row. This year however, I am only claiming myself, as I have no kids and my sister has gotten her act together. I know at the interview stage the ask for Tax transcripts for the last 3 years. I am anticipating our interview to be sometime after I file my taxes for this year. But for the form they ask about dependents. Do I just skip the question. I'm not claiming anyone this year. I have made well above the guidelines. I also have heard that some COs don't even check the tax papers. So, how would they know if you make enough money without ever checking those documents? Sorry if these seems all over the place.

Really? That's talk from people who think that the officers see the papers/package for the first time when sitting with the interviewee. This is very likely not so. They probably have gone through the package and individual pages carefully before the interview - in cases where tax transcripts are mailed with the petitions. 

 

However when they are carried to the interview, not having been mailed with the package, the officers won't have enough time to line-check them at the interview.

[01/10, 2018]  - DAY 323  (day 2149) (N-400) Naturalization Oath Ceremony (5 years, 10 months, 19 days)

[01/10, 2018]  - DAY 001  (day 2149) (US Passport) Applied for US Passport, regular processing

01/25, 2018]  - DAY 015  (day 2164) (US Passport) Passport in hand (5 years, 11 months, 3 days from start of Journey.)

 

AOS, N-400, & PASSPORT FOR DAUGHTER [OF HUSBAND TO USC]

[06/14, 2013] - DAY 001 Mailed package to Chicago Lockbox via USPS overnight
[11/21, 2013] - Day 153 SSN and 10-year GC in hand

09/01, 2021]  - (day 3001) (US Passport) Passport in hand (8 years, 2 months, 18 days from start of Journey.)
