I-693 and vaccine after medical exam

My fiance got his visa at the end of July but has to get a booster for a vaccine later this month.

From what I can tell he will need to go to a civil surgeon (here in the States, I assume?) to have him fix the record and fill out the necessary portions of the 693? Does he have to wait to get the booster with the civil surgeon here? I thought that he needed to have all his vaccines before entering the country...

Please help   :(

For K-1, it is not necessary to get all vaccination to enter States. It is optional. However, most couple decide to get the vaccination at the beneficiary country because it is cheaper.

I only get my first shot and didn't get my second shot that are scheduled a month after the first one (MMR), because by that time, I already fly to States. It is fine. For AOS later, you don't need to go see the civil surgeon to get a booster. As long as you get the first shot for each vaccination needed (based on your age), you are good to go.

Btw, not sure if your doctor give you a copy of the vaccination for your own record. Keep it. You can send the copy of it together with your AOS later.
