Hey! We are putting together our I-130 petition and are wondering if anyone has experience with name change of the beneficiary. My husband switched the order of his name (switched first with middle).  I think it might be good to include something acknowledging the name change, especially considering we petitioned successfully a year ago for the k-1 visa with his old name. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking I will include a copy of the population extract (with his new name) in the packet (right after my birth certificate) along with an explanation, by him, as to why he changed his name (would this be called an affidavit?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

He can use his new name provided he answers all questions correctly and present a document for the change of name. Again,he will be asked if he has ever used a previous name in one of the questions and he should answer that part truthfully with the previous name.
