Hello everyone, I just received a rejection notice saying that my I-130 form was submitted with extra remittance, that is not required to process my application!! They took the $535 from my credit card and haven’t returned anything! I received my text message for receipt and I got an email say my case was being forwarded to the Potomac Serves Center! I called and was transferred to a higher up to get  a understanding as to why I received the rejection notice regarding overpayment (which I didnt overpay, I payed the 535 fee), and I was told that I needed to call back in the morning and to speak someone then, because of high call volume for today. I’m so confused and a little worried! But I all can do is wait and call tomorrow. I wonder, have anyone else got a rejection notice and it was a glitch in the system! I really think it is! It makes no sense to take a payment and then return it. The payment is the correct amount and I’m only filing for my husband.

 

Package was received 7/16/18

Got text receipt notice 8/06/18

And email acceptance 8/06/18

Rejection Notice dated 08/03/18 got in mail today

Hey I talk to an officer yesterday and found out it is a glitch. I was instructed to send an email to  USCIS Lockbox, to inquire why I received that rejection notice. She wanted me to send a separate email asking for the correct I-797 and also she told me that my case is definitely being process at the Potomac Services Center!! Thank u Lord!!

Love that. This process is stressful enough without catching a heart attack from a glitch

Well, at least you were able to talk to an officer, in my case, noone called me back. I just had to take my chance resubmitting the case and hoped for the best. 😕
