We are going through the embassy in Naples.

I have sent her an affidavit of support form I-864 however from the embassy pack it says an affidavit of support form I-134.

Does anyone know the difference between these 2 affidavit of support forms?

The I-864 is typically used for the spousal/ family visas- CR1/IR1 and it is technically 'legally binding'.  The other one, I-134, is used for the K1/ K3 visas and is shorter and less detailed than the I-864 and is not considered legally binding.  If you are filing for the K1, I believe you will only need the I-134 until you marry and/ or file for adjustment of status after marriage.

Like above. For K-1 visa, use the I-134, it is for 100% the poverty guideline finance requirements. For the AOS later on you use the I-864 which is more legally binding to the sponsor. This is for 125% the poverty guideline also.

I-134 is for non-immigrant visas.

I-864 is for immigrant visas (and AOS, which you will need to do after entry on the K-1).

A K-1 is a non-immigrant visa (although it is handled by the immigrant visa unit at the embassy/consulate, so sometimes generic wording is used in their pre-interview templates).

Thank you guys, that's what I kind of thought but didn't want to assume. For our K-1 I will prepare the I-134, this should be an original signed copy?

Doesn't need to be a wet signature.

The correct form for this stage of your process is I-134. Don't forget to enclose additional evidence! When I did my interview in Naples 4 months ago they kept the form, the Tax Return, the letter from my (now) husband's employer, two most recent pay stubs, and a statement from the bank. The instructions of Packet3 will tell you to make everything in double copy.

Also, they asked for a copy of my husband's passport and birth certificate.

More info for her here: https://it.usembassy.gov/it/visti/iv/k1/

Good luck!
