Hey Nano,

You seem very desperate to immigrate to the US.

First, you want visitor visa to see your brother in US.  Visa denied.

Second, you want K-1 visa for US fiancee who works in hotel management.  A fiancee that you have never met.  What happened to her?

Now, you have a foreign fiancee who got a EB1 visa as a masseuse, and you would like to immigrate through her.

Why so many stories?

why no one mentioned that the op could get a green card through the spouse if they get married before the I485 is adjudicated and the wife adds the husband as a derivative for the green card application?

Good point; here is more info for future readers, https://www.***removed***/greencard/adjustmentofstatus/dependents.html:

Quote

The procedure described here is allowed only for immigrant categories that allow derivative status for spouses and children. e.g., employment based immigration. If you are beneficiary of family based immigration such as unmarried children of U.S. etc, you can't get married to bring your spouse as described here.

Your Input Is Appreciated On This VJ Guide Proposal:

Just simply for the question op asked here, why no one mentioned that the op could get a green card through the spouse if they get married before the I485 is adjudicated and the wife adds the husband as a derivative for the green card application?

Brilliant.  Good advice.  Now that you have mentioned it, he should consider it.

Hopefully Nano can overcome all his other issues.

I’m concerned she may be a victim of human trafficking. Or lying. Either way you can’t come with her. So many people end up in human trafficking and don’t realize it...I cringe seeing cars with NYC plates outside nail salons around CT...anyways that’s a story for another thread.

If if you would like to see her while she is in the US Try to apply for a tourist visa for a short visit.

Maybe he reached his post limit? Or was banned by admin.  We can hope.

Aside from the potential danger to the "girlfriend" in this situation, I'm surprised that someone would take up a mundane job offer overseas that would result in years of separation from the person to whom they wish to be married. If the girlfriend is from Europe then there is unlikely you be any economic advantage for her in moving to the USA. I could understand it if she were an astronaut or Oscar-winning actress but a masseuse? What's in it for her? We have already established what the op wants from this. I'm wondering if he became her boyfriend before or after her job offer in the USA.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath
