As someone currently going through this long, difficult process, I can't imagine how horrible this would be. I feel for you :(.

I agree that there has to be something else to the situation.   Everything they described seems ideal for an approval.. yet they were denied.

Age gap isn't it.   Largest age gap I seen come through was 37 years.. they were approved.

"Largest age gap I seen come through was 37 years.. they were approved."

"they?", approval is not made by a team.... and yes one office may not like the idea of big age gap as the other may not like the idea of different religion.

Maybe it was my other two wives I'm still married with and the dead body's I keep in the basement or that my fiancé is a chaterbate star that has done human trafficking in her spare time lol

Kind of funny the conspires theories, I kind of wish their was something so then I would deep down get why.

This was the perfect sinaro that they had no reason to deny we just got a on a bad day and thats the process.

Anyone ever been to the DMV in the US and were treated unfairly or rudely, of course you have, what did you do wrong?

did you steal from your teacher in the 3rd grade? they don't need a reason they are marginal workers with a little power over you that day.

She is 22 and I'm 48, so? that not a requirement, to be closer in age.

She was never married and has no kids, she has a job in a law office doing IT. I had her stay working so it would show thats she is not a scammer and supports her family because she does that ( and she has 2 older brothers and parents that she is the main support and a young age she started that).

They didn't even listen to our story and show her respect to pay attention. This fat pregnant sat with a coffee in one hand looking away and kept cutting her off when she was trying to talk about love and caring.( you know those the real visa requirements)

It's so ### backwards, they should have a review of 3 people if the CO wants to reject, this is years ago peoples lives and a lot of money to just dismiss it like it was a ###### learners permit at the DMV.

I was marred and divorced with an other K1 visa relationship from the Dominican republic we got divorced, it happens we are still friendly and life goes on but no rule or condition was not met or exceeded on this case. it was 100% by the book and we got reject for no good reason.

Love and caring are not visa requirements.

The officer might have wondered about how much do you really know you fiancée - with so little facetime, they might have found something in the background check that you don't know.  Next time, I suggest you be present at her interview to show your support and that this relationship is important to you.

The thread's title has been edited to conform more closely with VJ's policy of using family-friendly language.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Sounds like having the petitioner present during the interview helps a lot, especially if the one being petitioned is the nervous type.

When I did my last K1 interview in Manila, I saw a particular female CO who appeared to be a (removed). I was thinking to myself I hope I don't get her as my CO.

I am pretty good reading people and she appeared to be trouble, and with my past history she might try to make an issue.

Thankfully I got a male CO and it was only a few questions and nothing about my past K1's.

Get married and file again, or do like some guys do.  They get married in Philippines and make a few trips a year to visit their wife

Ya there was one like that when we went through as well, she was at the window next to the one we were called to ... nasty, yelling .. I think she got off on denying visas.  Whereas the guy that interviewed my wife was friendly, chatted with both of us, and was very quick to switch to Tagalog if my wife hesitated with answering a question .. which totally caught her off guard when he did that.

I also think the Filipino pre-screener plays a big part in the process..

Scarrry!! Does that mean the k1 visa approval relies on the hand of the CO we'll be assigned to? Are the interviewees randomly called? Whew 😲

Of course .. that is the job of the CO - interview the applicant, make a decision.    The case file is reviewed again after the interview - which is when everyone experiences AP for a time.   But the CO for the interview is the almighty OZ..

Image result for oz man behind the curtain

The interview is 3-5 minutes long, which is why I also believe the pre-screen'er plays an important part in the process.

After reading these posts in this topic I am getting worried now. What if we get a bad CO that just wants to deny us?  I am planning on being at the interview with my fiancee' so I hope that helps our chances as we would be devastated if we were denied.

You could drive yourself absolutely sick if you let yourself think that way. The only thing that you can do is go in prepared and hope for the best. If you worry that you'll have a bad experience, you'll psych yourself out.

It really is. Don't forget, you are not alone. So many of us have gone through it. We know that pain, frustration, fear and hope. I hope that, for all of you, you get good news soon.
