Birth Certificate Disaster

So somehow my fiance's family managed to register two birth certificates for her with different birth dates.  The first birth certificate that was registered had a birthdate of February, 1988.  Subsequently her family registered a second birth certificate with a birthdate of October, 1987.

My fiance has always used the October 1987 birthdate.  She only found out about the other when she got her PSA birth certificate in the mail.  PSA can see that there have been 2 registered for her but they only have the first registration on file and can only provide the official copy of that.  She only has photocopies of the 1987 birth certificate.

All her IDs and passport have the 1987 date.  We are trying to figure out how to handle this issue as our case is at NVC and it will be interview time soon.

We are thinking she may need a new passport with 1988 date, as well as new nbi and cenomar with the 1988 date.  Any advice?

You have the right idea .. .everything should match the "official" PSA birth certificate

Thanks.  Nice to hear some confirmation of our plan.  FWIW I will be there with her at the interview and I work at the Dept of State here in DC.

Don't flash your ID ... they might deduct points.

With the NBI don't forget to complete the AKA for other names used.

So she actually just received her NBI showing the 1987 bday (not matching the birth certificate).  She got it quickly as an update from a previous one for travel to Australia.  I'm thinking to bring that as well.
