Hi All,

I badly need clarification on this- I am the beneficiary from the Philippines. I've read different forums and search all over the internet and they all say same - the original form with wet signature is needed. We've been waiting for so long and I don't want to add more weeks or months to the wait in case they would request for the original document. I wanted him to send the original one but he is soooo confident that the scanned copy would do  lol I emailed the USEM by the way but I just wanna hear from those who have gone through this if indeed the scanned would do.

Thank you all!

You're gonna get both answers. I personally mailed mine via FedEx... some will say scanned. A lot will tell you that the Philippines more than often doesn't even ask for the I-134 honestly. They didn't ask for ours (though on my employment history I have worked for same company for 7+ years so that looks decent compared to some I guess).. Point is, for myself, send the original, better safe than sorry. But again they may not even ask to see it; but go prepared always.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

02/03/2017 - Married

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

TECHNICALLY a scanned signature IS allowed.

HOWEVER .... it IS the government. And they can change their minds to what they want on a minute by minute basis. Bring the original.

Better safe than sorry. Your fiance has to send you all kinds of other original documents presumably, so it's not like it's a big deal to add in a few more pieces of paper.
