Cenomar...for employment abroad????

My Fiancee went to get her Cenomar yesterday, and when she arrived home... she was surprised to see the line...."for employment abroad" on her Cenomar.

Does anyone see this as something that will cause an issue?  We are K-1 filers, and her visa is not related to employment.

Thanks in advance,

Doug

That is sort of weird.  Someone checked a wrong box?

I don't know if the embassy will care, being the embassy only wants to verify marital status.

Obviously you have two choices;  1) take the CENOMAR you have to the interview, if the embassy has an issue with it they will request a new CENOMAR.  2) request a new CENOMAR before going to the interview.

Make sure to have a copy of the CENOMAR for CFO.  ;)

Yes....she got two copies....but they both said that.

She said there was no boxed she checked....which would have precipitated that result.

Oh I wasn't suggesting your fiancee checked a wrong box.  More likely the person who entered the information in the computer to print out the document.

I was able to get cenomar in 3 different ways...Online, in the municipal hall and in the main office of PSA... With online, you will be asked for a purpose of the cenomar , it wont go through without clicking the boxes for purpose (marriage, employment, travel/passport etc.)..if you get a cenomar in local municipalities the form you will fill up still requires you to check a box for the purpose and the person in charge make sure you click one of the boxes..this is the same as getting cenomar in the main office of PSA..

Roxan just got hers last week. She sent me a photo of the form and asked me what to check as none of the choices seem to directly apply. I told her to check other and write CFO - K1 Visa in the blank. So that is what it says on her CENOMAR...
