Dear all,

my question is pretty much my headline. I am wondering how long it took you all to receive your green card after you activated your green card?

I have been checking the mail every day but I believe I am a little on the early side of checking?

I arrived in July 13th. I paid the Green Card fee before I left my country. I have not received anything from social security or USCIS.

Question: Does social security card comes along with green card in one package?

You need to go to a Social security office near you to apply for a card!,I didn't get my card in the mail so I had to apply for one at SS office

I went to the Social Security office because I heard a few times that the SS card could be a hit or miss thing.

But I am wondering from our pro's how long it took them to get their GC... but perhaps I need to ask this in a different subforum?

I applied social security card through my DS260 interview form. I called the SS office near me and they said it has to go through DOS for verification. Now, I’m thinking all will come in one envelope

Well most people applied for the SSN on the DS260!,but its not 100% that you'll get it,so its better to go at the SS office to apply for it..I had to do that and I got my SSN within a week after applying

So, my USCIS internet tracking says, "your case was sent to the Department of State"... essentially, the status has not changed since February 2018 BUT I received my green card in the mail yesterday.

Activation August 1st and the physical card arrived Aug 13th,
