Discrepancy on marriage certificate

My wife and I currently processing ceac but our marriage certificate has a discrepancy. My birth place is incorrect. I’m not sure what to do. Should we still proceed?  Any advice would do. Please and thank you.

What exactly is the discrepancy, city, or country etc.?

I was born in Mountian View, CA USA. On our marriage certificate says El Mirage, AZ USA. We are worried because is doesn’t match my birth certificate  and might get denied.

The AZ answer is to what question or name of field on the marriage certificate?  Can't help you without sufficient information and context.

My birthplace has the incorrect city and state on the marriage certificate because of this error we are afraid to turn in our marriage certificate for support documents.

Correct

Then get the marriage certificate corrected.  How did this mistake occur?

My wife send me a copy and I saw the mistake. We aren’t sure if it is clerical mistake but we are trying to fix it but it is going to take 4-5months to process. Should we wait to get it corrected?

I wouldn't.  You probably know more about how the mistake was made.  They didn't pull the city and AZ out of thin air, did they?  Is it where you live now?  If so, somebody asked the wrong question or gave the wrong answer.  If it's where you live now, I would definitely not delay filing, as THAT kind of discrepancy is easily explained and understood.
