So we are currently stationed in Germany on Military order.

I have two pending cases of I-751 and N400 and the NOA letter that Ive received along with my 2 year GC is already expired.

It says on the website that the case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction the last time I checked my status so only god knows how long it would take...

Anyways my husband and I are planning to go back to the states for a visit in Nov and I was told by the Frankfurt office that I would need a transportation letter for re-entering?

Is that true? I thought that was only for stolen or lost GC? If so, it is ridiculously expensive?! $575 just for a letter.

What would I need to carry with me in order to enter the states with no problem? Thank you in advance.

Did you talk to the USCIS Office in Frankfurt or the Consulate?  If not the USCIS office, I would make an appointment at that office and see if you can get an I551 stamp with your expired GC and expired extension letter.

Good Luck!

When is your trip planned?  I would set up an Infopass appointment through the link on the website, and make sure you are talking to the USCIS office and not the consulate office as they are different departments.

As to my wife's citizenship coming so fast, we have absolutely no idea.  We were actually planning on having an interview around September this year, so when my wife received the notice of an interview in March we were very surprised.  The only thing we can figure out is her N400 landed on the desk of an IO in Detroit that was not backlogged at the time.

Good Luck!

So your NOA1 extending your green card is expired at this point in time correct? Also when did you file for the ROC and the N400?

Yes correct. I filed for the ROC in Nov 2016 and MAR 2018 for N400.

But I just finished speaking with one of the USCIS representatives from Military Hotline and was told that my case of I-175 was administratively closed?!

My case has been denied since May and I havent been informed of it at all.... But I can still track it on their website for some reasons.

It still says that 'Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction'

Anyways he said he would be sending an email for me to the Frankfurt office to see if they can fasten my N400 process for my upcoming event

but also suggested me to contact the National USCIS line and CBP which is what I did.

I am honestly sort of lost. Would I be still able to enter with just my military ID, order and expired green card and letter?
