Hi Everyone,

21-June-2018, I finished my interview at the US embassy in Singapore. They return back my passport and told me that they just return it because of a lack of documents, then I need to submit to them again.

1.Divorced Copy

2. ROM - the Non Marriage license

3. NBI  - Original copy

4. 2nd page of my fiancee Income tax return

5. Passport

After sending this all, they reply that my ROM & Divorced copy need to send again.

·         Divorced need original

·         ROM under the criteria of my name and not my passport number.

23-July-2018 – Sent the 2 documents and they received it 24-July-2018.

US emabassy received my follow up email and reply:

From US Embassy: 31-July-2018: “Your appointment is under consideration”.

So today is exactly 2 weeks of waiting. Do I need to make a follow-up? or just wait for them to email me.

I am worried cause I need to submit my resignation letter to my company on Sept3 and it’s a 1 month notice.

Tentative date of flying is on 6-Oct and date of Marriage is on 12-Oct-2018.

Appreciate the advice.

Love,

Dheng

  hi Dheng,

personally I wouldn't resign before you've been approved and have visa in hand. Also are you sure youll be able to get your social number in such a short space of time (6 days) because in some states they can take as long as 4 weeks to get.

I hope anything you've booked is refundable.

Definitely worth following up with the embassy.

Hello Amanda,❤️

Thank you so much for your reply, it's really a big help for me(L)

For the Marriage license, my fiancee will apply and inquire if possible for him to get it earlier, is that possible?

I will take note that I will not buy a ticket and will not submit my resignation letter as long as I haven't received my approval.

Super thanks Amanda(L)
