I just received an online update to my case, my interview is ready to be scheduled, how long does that take? Are we looking at anytime soon or that's just another waiting game.

 

I want to be excited but I really don't want to plan anything since I 485 is still at 1-2 years waiting..

 

And I haven't heard anything about my AP and EAD, aren't those supposed to be processed first?

 

PD is may 11 2018, bio at june 15, rfe for birth cert at july 11, uscis got it back july 31. 

 

Today, aug 6, i got that update ready to be scheduled.. 

 

Can I be excited already????

nope. this seem to be something of the norm to send that specific message. we got that one also. the timeframe is not clear since your local FO is the one conducting the interview and they might be fast or slow on processing cases.

In my opinion that case processing time on Uscis page just gives you an idea of the 'average' time.

Since when i check Montana it says 9.5 - 21 months but my case seems takes way shorter than the time they mentioned on the page. So it really depends on the office speed

I think so. It really depends on your local office. The processing time on the USCIS just to give you an idea.

 

I had my medical exam on May 30 but i posted my packet on May 15, that's why I always have my medical on hand.

 

You can start to arrange the medical once you received the courtesy letter. The courtesy letter looks like this:

10/3/2018                  We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time (this is insanity, 4th time while some got GC)

10/17/2018                After 136 days of wait in HELL, finally EAD in production

10/21/2018                Card was mailed to me, and yes it said so on a Sunday night, while Vj-ing

10/22/2018                Card was picked up by the USPS

10/24/2018                EAD in hand. F%^&& finally

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail
