I have made many a 12 hour bus trips in the Philippines, Seems pretty common to me.

Davao to CDO which if it was US highway would take about 4 hours but since it the Philippines and they have roads the size of alley in my back of my house not much flowing of traffic, and not to mention the pedjack,  trikes, Jeepney and Carabou pulling bamboo trailers with no wheels makes a 12 hour bus ride pretty common in Philippines.

They stop a few times for CR breaks and food, it ain't that bad.  At least most buses have air con and big seats.

Yeah that bus ride which goes through Butuan is ok because it is aircon and plays movies even movies with nudity in them. But then we had to get on a non-aircon bus from Davao to New Bataan and that was the deal breaker for me.

Well the nudie movie was in the aircon bus that has TV's in it. But the non-aircon was just hot and took forever. But she was just hot because I was there with her at the time :jest:

You can get your CFO sticker (you must still take the seminar either at the Cebu, Manila or any of their outlying locations) at any terminal at Manila NAIA. They request that you call ahead 2-3 days to schedule and appointment to meet and receive the CFO completion sticker.

CFO NAIA: 632-879-5685 or 02-879-5685

They are open from 5am till 12 midnight

CFO NAIA desk is at terminal 1 beside TIEZA travel tax desk which is between the entrance doors with the x-ray / conveyor machines..

CFO counter is next to the travel tax counter in terminal 2, up front of the departure area

CFO sticker at Terminal 3 on the 3rd Floor at the CFO office.

Speaking of travel tax.... I have seen a lot of contradictory comments on this.... I (as an American) have been to Phil's 3 times, and never paid.  Does a K-1 traveler have to pay?  I have seen some say...only Phil workers pay....any clarifications here?

You, as a foreigner, do not pay unless you have been in the Phils a year or more.

Travel Tax is collected from ALL Filipinos that travel outside the country.   OFWs are exempted (as are the politicians)
