12 hours by bus to Manila...

My fiancée lives 12 hours by bus from Manila, so not really conducive for making multiple trips... :)

Am I wrong in thinking....she can finish up her K-1 in one trip to Manila?

Here is what I was thinking....(making appointments of course)... But a Monday / Tuesday for St Lukes Medical....

Wednesday.... appointment at US Embassy....

Thursday....do the seminar....then go home and wait for Visa to arrive by courier....

Is this just a vision in my head....or this is plausible?

Thanks for your thoughts.

This would be perfect if it happened like that but in all honesty I would not expect it. My wife had to make multiple trips up to Manila and Cebu to get everything completed.

It can be done but like others eluded to its the perfect storm. If she could get her CFO completed on Thursday or Friday that would be awesome. Then she picks her CFO sticker at the airport on her way out of the country.

Are you game?

I had toyed with having her fly out of Laoag....and then to Manila....to eliminate....another 12 hour bus ride...just before her 12 hour flight...hehehe....and that would toss a wrench into picking up a sticker at the airport.

How does that work....they have a desk at the airport....and would have her on file....and would give her the sticker?

Would she need to tell them in advance...where she would be getting the sticker....or they are automated? :)

Yes it is possible to do all within a week with careful planning.

St. Luke's is walk-in, first come first served (no reason to be there hours early, just as quick showing up an hour after they open)

Not sure why some are posting that CFO is not available on Friday ... GCP seminars are Monday - Friday, two sessions a day.

12 hours isn't that long of a bus ride in the Philippines.

Duffy what are you smoking? A 12 hour bus ride is not long in the Philippines? Just because it might be a necessary trip and the Filipino has to adapt, a 12 hour trip anyway you slice it is still sucks.

You can get your CFO sticker (you must still take the seminar either at the Cebu, Manila or any of their outlying locations) at any terminal at Manila NAIA. They request that you call ahead 2-3 days to schedule and appointment to meet and receive the CFO completion sticker.

CFO NAIA: 632-879-5685 or 02-879-5685

They are open from 5am till 12 midnight

CFO NAIA desk is at terminal 1 beside TIEZA travel tax desk which is between the entrance doors with the x-ray / conveyor machines..

CFO counter is next to the travel tax counter in terminal 2, up front of the departure area

CFO sticker at Terminal 3 on the 3rd Floor at the CFO office.

Do check the link I posted.  For Manila CFO (USA) Monday - Friday,  only CEBU and the other two locations are limited days.

I have made many a 12 hour bus trips in the Philippines, Seems pretty common to me.

Davao to CDO which if it was US highway would take about 4 hours but since it the Philippines and they have roads the size of alley in my back of my house not much flowing of traffic, and not to mention the pedjack,  trikes, Jeepney and Carabou pulling bamboo trailers with no wheels makes a 12 hour bus ride pretty common in Philippines.

They stop a few times for CR breaks and food, it ain't that bad.  At least most buses have air con and big seats.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.
