CC July 26th. Waiting....

I called NVC and they said it can take several months. But I didn't tell the lady the consulate office. I see people getting interview dates as soon as one week. And others...more than 4 months....

Hi Bethany,

it it was a 6 week wait for us to receive our interview date. According to my timeline you should be receiving your interview date on or around September 10th. It is a first come first serve system so it all depends on the amount of approved applications.

Hope this helps, I know everyday seems so long when you are waiting.

Thanks for the encouragement. We're definitely all in this together. Taking one day at a time.

Piece of advice:

Ensure you have proof of all your immunizations that are required. They are posted on the Consulate doctors website.

Ive seen many people on here freaking out because they weren’t prepared. I had to get a blood test, receive the results and get certain shots to meet the requirements.

Also their are other requirements you can you can prepare for in the meantime, like (x5) US passport photos, doctors note for certain conditions/reasons and possible evidence, etc.

Always better to be prepared :)

Same with me... I became documetary qualified on June 28 and still no news on the interview!  According to the timelines I should have heard something by now...

gets a little hard on the patience

Is documentary qualified the same as case complete or is there a step in between?

Hey BFrank, I don’t believe there is any steps in between being doc qualified and case complete.  After that stage it’s waiting for the embassy appointment...aside from the few steps in between like the medical exam. But once you’re doc qualified you are put in line for an appointment according to my lawyer and the NVC(spoke to them the other day)

Hey I posted this information on another thread that I could find related to interviews but I’ll post it here as well.

I just spoke with the national Visa Center and the gentleman told me that they do only give out appointments once a month and it’s typically at the end of the month. He said when the emails are sent out to assign an appointment date, the appointment usually happens within a month of the email. He didn’t tell me where they currently are scheduling, as in which cases have been closed and have been scheduled already, but I know when I spoke with them last month they told me they were scheduling for the end of June. That means the end of August may have had a bunch of July filers. He did also tell me that the Montreal embassy is a high-volume embassy in that appointment sometimes take a while.

So it’s a waiting game for all of us who are indeed waiting but at least at the end of the month, and he didn’t specifically say one day before the end or one week before the end, some of us who have waited long enough will get some appointments!

I noted that most if not all of people who posted in this group are IR1 category.  Correct?  I'm F3, completed on 5/30 and still waiting for interview date.  Anyone in the same boat?

I’m an IR!but not too sure of the others. Usually you can click on the profile and see the category of each individual.

Ive been trying to read other visa journey sites but haven’t seen any other consulate dates given since that last July 21st date last week. Anyone else seeing anything or have any insight?
