How old of a CENOMAR....can be used...

Originally my fiancee and I were going to get married in the Philippines....but decided that the K-1 route would be quicker.  Long story short, she got her CENOMAR a while back, and we didn't end up getting married.  Finally got out I-797 approval, and I was wondering.... Can we use the CENOMAR we acquired last year?  Or does a CENOMAR have to be within a certain time frame of her interview at the embassy?

Thanx!

Embassy doesn't like the CENOMAR or NBI to be more than 6 mos. old. They will issue an RFE for you to submit new ones if yours are older then 6 months.

One of our friends Hank, has created a web site with all that you will need to know to get your visa at USEM; and if it doesn't say so then you return back here and ask.

At what point does this come into play:

 I-864, Affidavit of Support

Does everyone fill this out....or only if requested?

For AOS after entry on the K-1 visa then marrying. I suggest reading up on the entire K-1 process from I-129 -> NVC -> embassy -> POE -> Marriage -> AOS -> (LPR) Green card holder -> ROC -> Citizenship (optional).

For the K-1 visa, they may request an I-134 t the embassy. Manilla COs usually odn't do this, but it's good to have one ready in case.

Embassy likes the documents to be less than 6 months old, she will need two as CFO will ask for a copy also.
