I thought all politics are local?  Personally, I would not look to anyone in the federal government to do anything, this is a Chicago issue that needs to be solved by Chicagoans, not somebody from Washington.  As far as hero worship, I direct you to the Will.I.Am Obama chant.

Kind of funny how Trump gets blamed for everything by the unhinged left. A radical leftist mayor can't (and probably doesn't want to) get gun crime under control in his city. Blame Trump. I bet it's also Trump's fault that bums in San Francisco are shooting up drugs and crapping in the streets all over the place. All the major cities run by leftists are falling apart but let's blame it all on Trump.

Activists issued a strong rebuke to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Monday, doubling down on plans to shut down Lake Shore Drive on Chicago’s North Side during a protest Thursday afternoon.

"We the people, are not asking and do not want your backing nor sanctioning," activist Rev. Gregory Livingston said in a statement.

"The chant of the people is Resign Rahm! So how then can you back your own regime change? " he asked. "How do you sanction your own termination? How dumb, naive and self-hating do you think we are?"
