My fiance is working on his petition on me but he accidentally  lost his passport now. He has a picture, ticket stubs and credit card statement showing he bought flight and visited me. Will we get our visa approved without his passport? Thank you

Well no. Your petition will get approved but in order to get a visa you need a passport.

Hi Roel, yes I have my passport. But my fiance lost his passport which has a stamps proving that he's been here in my country. I was worried that it will denied cause he has no show of stamps.

You shouldn't worry because that is enough evidence for a K1 visa showing you met in person before. What country is this for?

If you (the beneficiary) lost your passport, then you'd need to find or replace it before your interview. If the petitioner did, that's not a problem as far as immigration is concerned since you've already met in person.

He'll probably still want to find it or get it replaced ASAP unless you're okay with not seeing each other again until you can come to the US.

He will have to prove he is a US Citizen - so if he does not have a passport, he will need his birth certificate, or some document that proves his citizenship.  I know a lot of US Citizens do not have passports, but I would think any person in a bi-national relationship would want to have a valid passport if emergency travel for the fiance/e or spouse or child is necessary.

Oh thank goodness! He's American and I'm Filipina

Make sure he has his Birth certificate na in order to send it in with the petition and to get his passport asap.

But as for the petition overall the USEM is a low risk embassy in regards to K1 and CR1 petitions. So that means your evidence that you two have met in person is more than enough.

Your finance can go to CBP website and seach Arrival/Departure History Now Available on I-94 Webpage that will show his travels out of the usa on your end he can request from phillipines immigration his landing records there.  I suggest this because it seems this is a vital piece of evidence that you are concerned about. On the other hand, i would simply list all the dates your fiance visted in a letter and simply state that the passport on which he travelled was lost and provide proof that he reported the passport lost.  This would be the simpliest option.  Good luck.

Even though he is the petitioner, he should replace his passport if he plans to visit you again. Does he plan to see you again before your K-1 is issued?  If he can, that would help your case even more. Especially if he can be there for your interview. Best of luck.

OP's fiance is a US citizen, so this may not be an option; https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/:

An I-94 form is needed by all persons except U.S. Citizens, returning resident aliens, aliens with immigrant visas, and most Canadian citizens visiting or in transit.

Unless I'm mistaken?

I used it in thd past to check my husbands passport and yes hubby is a US citizen with usa passport and i was able to see his details.

If that fails he can get the information from CBP.

IF he lost his passport it is important that he reports it lost, stolen, or destroyed as soon as possible, You can do this online. Then he can apply for a replacement passport, but they won't replace it until he completes the form for a lost passport either online or via mail. Link is below.
