Hello everyone

i have question about nvc processing time. Yes i know here is proccesing time section ;D but i wanted to ask if 120 days (4months) that is there currently stated, is only the stage since our case arrive or from having a case number?

I ask, because it took USCIS 4 weeks to send it after approval, and when NVC received it, they say it takes 4 weeks to receive a case number...

so from when i should count NVC Stage timeline? So it really takes 4 months in NVC and than 1 month from than to schedule doctor and embassy appoIntment?

Thank you!!!:)

NVC processing time starts after you are assigned a case number.....at least that is how it was in early 2017.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That is a good question.  It is difficult to find a specific answer, or at least an answer that makes sense.  I just want to know the following:  I paid the IV and AOS fees Tuesday, 7/31.  My 260 was uploaded on Friday, 8/3 and the papers will arrive at NVC via Federal Express tomorrow.  What exactly can I expect from this point?  How long is it currently taking NVC to review and submit to embassy for interview?  I know they have 60 days here and 60 days there but I want to know what is happening in real time, not what the legal time frames are.  Those number are sometimes very different!!

Yes everyone was discussing USCIS but there is not many posts and details about NVC stage. I thought that uscis stage was the wooorst (7months+1extra month to send it to nvc=8months), than is NVC STage of 3-4 months but in total it is 4-5months with waiting for the case number. (??) and than 1momth to maybe schedule interview. That is 14-15 months total without RFE? Lol :D

i was hoping that someone who knows about this process could help us here. :-)

It really all depends if your case is pivot or non pivot. It took about 3 weeks for NVC to receive our paperwork and we immediately filed a expedite request. We received our case # and expedite request in 4 days significantly speeding up the process and my wife has her interview this week, 2 weeks after our expedite approval and she was able to schedule her own medical which she did a week after case#... This was in Manila so I'm not sure how accurate it is for your location. Good luck
