For those who have a feeling that uscis is taking way to long to process ur case. I found this site that u may wanna have a look at.

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do OLD SITE

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ NEW SITE

https://www.house.gov/representatives US Congressmen

https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm US Senators

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

Dec 26 no updates either and lots of differing and apparently incorrect information.

Did anyone watch the TV series Black Mirror? I picture a USCIS episode with a recording that just says this over and over again each time you call. until you just pass on with the phone grown into the skin of your palm... "Welcome to USCIS,  please put your life on hold, we value your filing fee and will be with you sometime in the next 5-8 months, possibly longer. Maybe. (don't want to remove the mystery, do we?). Until then, we hope your mental health, sanity or relationship doesn't deteriorate too drastically, but if we do drive you crazy don't worry because soon you'll have another 5-7 months to sit around and think about how much of your precious life you have wasted before you can become a productive member of our society." 😂😂

Edit: Not that I sit around bitterly overthinking this or anything.

@ALGS you too Dec 26? I am also the same date as per old website. Still waiting 😥😥

RFE 22 August 2018

NOA 2: 08 September 2018

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

It was not supposed to be complex but it turned out to be. My RFE was to send a certified copy of my final divorce decree. The family court Judge made a mistake and did not mentioned if myself and my ex-husband were divorced or legally separated. I went to court to fix that problem and they fixed that one, but made another one. They made a typo in my ex-husband name and DOB and I did not notice and sent it to USCIS. When I have noticed I panicked and me and my lawyer decided to send another copy the correct one. She was supposed to include a letter of explanation too but she never did. In other words my case turned out into a big mess now. I wont be surprised if they denies us. On top of everything I am naturalized citizen so I am probably checked under microscope with all these new emigration laws.

That is so unfortunate. i really hope they clear it up.  I guess with all of this, make sure you double check everything from now on. It's hard enough we have to wait long, but to add couple months to that is draining.  I really hope all works out in the end....after all this huge headache, i want to see an approval!!!!!

I am also Dec 7, and still waiting..  I may just be thinking too much but is there a pattern here?  Did they lose or accidentally spilled coffee on series of Dec 7th files?  I see a lot of Dec 7 NOA1's still pending with no progress whatsoever.  This is very frustrating.

Sorry to hear that Dec 7 was not a good day..Dec 6(We) got by..with RFE

Its been 14 days NOA2 and NVC still has not received information so yet no case numbers for Us

Hang in there Gang, we will all make it through...

There is a person who filed in June 2017 and I believe he still hasn’t heard yet and has filed a case against uscis. Apparently his fiancé had a green card that was left to expire and is no longer in the country and apparently that confuses uscis . They have filed suit against uscis

Still waiting too

I think we are close to or over 250 days.. I stopped counting

I called again today and spoke with a tier 2 person who said my case is being adjudicated which means it's with an officer and is better than being labeled as processing

once my fiancé does get here and we get married can we go through the greencard process ourselves? I went to get rid of our lawyer if I can!

also - does working with a lawyer hurt your I-129F application? Or does it not matter? I mean, it hurt us because they made a mistake and added 50+ days to our wait but in general, does the USCIS care?

Working with a lawyer does not hurt your application in the eyes of USCIS. It doesn't speed up your case nor does having a lawyer slow down your case. Now the competency of the lawyer will play a factor just as if it were you had the same propensity to make errors effecting your clients ability to get you the visa. There isn't anything that a lawyer can do that you can't do in the application stage.

Fire your lawyer and do the AOS yourself. There are lots of people here that can help.
