At the point I booked, the month of August looked pretty open.  We had to wait a little longer than expected but were in and out in under 90 minutes.

Where can you find this information about their schedule or to book???

This happens after filling out a DS-160 and paying the Interview fee (getting a receipt number), then registering for an appointment through www.ustraveldocs.com.  Go ahead and register an account there now so you’ll be ready.

Normally it is 7 to 10 days. But, not sure about Egypt. It’s always best to wait till visa is in hand. Never know if nvc or uscis could recall ur case. Or carrier loses ur visa..

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If we do not have the documentation, how do I answer this question on the DS-160 "Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? "

You answer the question with "Yes" because when you finish your medical and interview you will receive your "do not open" package. Inside the package and on top of the brown envelope will be a DS-3025 form. That is your evidence that your vaccinations conform to U.S. Law. That will be given to  you at your POE. Keep it safe as it will be needed for the AOS after marriage.

Here is information about your Embassy http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Egypt&cty=Cairo

Embassy's always state:

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a single-entry fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other restrictions.

Don't book travel unless your willing to pay the penalty to change your ticket or you have bought flight insurance. I have seen too many who have gotten burnt when booking flight before they have their visa in hand. Recommendation: Don't Book Your Flight.

Thank you! I actually called on Friday afternoon to inquire about our case as we were outside normal processing time and a service inquiry was opened. I was given the standard 30 days response to the service inquiry. Saturday morning at 6.00AM I get a text and an email from USCIS saying "we took a decision on your case, please login onto your account". So I logged onto the new website and there was our approval!!

I have to say I had to answer some very weird questions while on call with the USCIS officer. He kept asking me about my fiance and referred to him as my "husband" and he kept asking me if we were married and if my husband was here in the States. These were tricky questions trying to get me to fall and answer yes and as such, lead to an immediate denial. I felt like I was at an interview, the whole phone conversation took about half hour... very weird... this is their new technique now...beware!!

I kept correcting the officer telling him: No Sir, he is not my husband, he is my fiance and no we didn't get married yet as we are waiting for the visa to be approved and we will do so upon his arrival to the United States...and No Sir my fiance is not here as he cannot enter the United States without a visa ...

Very weird indeed... I felt at first it did more harm then good my call and felt really depressed when they told me 30 more days, and then boom the next day the approval.

Thank God!!

Thank you!

That's first time I have heard of a discussion like the one you had with the USCIS officer. You did a great job to sticking to your story (of course the truth is your story). I'm very curios why the interview took place and why is it a coincidence that you were approved the next day. Seems strange to me and weird to you.

Well lets keep the visa train moving down the tracks. Let's get that visa.

We are Dec 04 filers... still waiting

RFE request 06/27

RFE response received 07/12

Inquiry sent for past due processing times: 07/24

response received: 08/10

the response said our case was still being adjucated and we should hear something in 45 days.

the RFE was just a check box that we missed (our lawyer missed) on the application.

I don't understand why they haven't approved us. I called on Wednesday and talked to 2 people. The first said we are way past processing time and transferred me to a horrible woman who was so unhelpful. Any tips on when I call back?

I cant believe we are still waiting ...

Hey, I'd like to ask you a quick question. I also believe I'll be getting a RFE because of our lawyers mistake. My question to you is, did you sent the RFE back yourself or did the lawyer send it back?

I'm just asking because I don't trust their service anymore and I wanna make sure my fiancée is the one who sends the RFE back and not the lawyer. And the lawyer also receives a copy of the RFE right? So I worry that she'll send the RFE back in a hurry without us knowing and mess things up again.

Hi!

I met with our lawyer or review the documents and she sent everything back.

You have to sign the paperwork again so you need to be involved.

She sent us a scan and a hard copy of the envelope, tracking number, and all documents so we were aware of when it was mailed and everything that was send back.

I also lost faith in our lawyer after this mistake - we would have been approved 6/27 but are now still waiting due to their error. It's quite frustrating. However at this point in the process I am just letting them see it through.

i hope you get approved soon!

Tell your lawyer they are fired. You can do this on your own. Get a copy of the RFE and read it carefully. Create a response, make a copy of everything your returning. Sign and date the bottom of the RFE.

Guys my case turned to ready on August 6. I filled out my ds160 and now waiting for my p3 until now i haven't heard anything. The embassy in China won't let you move forward until you send the instruction page of p3. How long does this usually take

I am there with you. Working with my lawyer was the biggest mistake ever. She is absolutely careless. I have been into much more stress hiring a lawyer than if I would do it on my own. If I would ever see my fiance in USA the rest of the process I will do it myself. All they care is about money that's it.

I'd recommend asking that question in your country's sub-forum found here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/ Most who are here are just trying to understand the process to this point and to their Embassy. Your asking someone from Germany to educate you on the process for China which may set you up to hear their opinion and not facts. So...

Here is another place to check for that answer which is under the tab above labeled "portals" or you can get to it faster my selecting your flag in your profile on the left column on this page. http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=China&cty=Guangzhou

The P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp#KVisaPetitions

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview.

An individual with an approved petition and a priority date that is current for processing (when applicable) is eligible to apply for an immigrant visa or K nonimmigrant visa. Immigrant visa applicants will be notified by either the National Visa Center (NVC).

This is a website that is dedicated to those who are processing a visa from the US Embassy in China. I don't have a lot of knowledge so "buyer be where".
