Hello everyone new here.

We filed our papers December as well and got our NOA2 August 20 but was dated on August 10.

My question is my fiancé called in today and got our case number. However when I tried to check it online on this site ceac.state.gov

it will only say invalid ?

Do you guys know why? Or if there any of you here knows can you please enlighten me. Thank you.

On the ceac site the Fiance visa Is on the Immigrant Visa not the non-Immigrant visa. So put your case number on the Immigrant visa option.

Thank you so much.

next question if it says there that the application is ready. Can we start making appointments and medical schedule? Even if I didn’t get the packet 3 instructions?

Did you encounter problem by doing so?

Did you do the DS 160? Once it says Ready in the Immigrant Visa and you did the DS 160, then go to this link below and make an account and this where you set up the appointments.

I haven’t got done anything yet because we are kind of waiting for the last paper work to arrive. But definitely will soon start.

Thank you so much for this info.

Yayy congratulationss  @amy1411 & @vsforlife !!🎊 Did you find out through the websites?

@Nov2017AD any luck from your senator?  Last I heard from mine was early last week when I was told to sign off on release form. I’ll probably try contacting them by Friday if I don’t hear back.

I called them and they said USCIS did not reply so they sent another request. I think they said they will call them if they don't respond again.

Thanks! Don't worry, I have a feeling you'll be approved next week! You're not stuck in the security check blackhole like me. Your case just seems like a lazy employee based on the service request replies.

Thank you I hope you’re right but I’ve finally lowered my expectations and shrug off each passing weekday. I called my Senators office today, they told me that they sent in a request on my behalf and they’re waiting on a response from USCIS.  I hope your Senates office gives you better news and that your case is in the hands of an officer finally. Positive prayers and thoughts over the weekend 😌

Most people who have responded to an RFE can, however, expect further action by USCIS within about 60 days. If you don't receive a response or update within 94 days since USCIS originally sent you the RFE, it's a good idea to call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/contact-us/national-customer-service-center

1 (800) 375-5283 8:00 am

This is for USCIS

Option 1:

Call USCIS. Do not press anything. Do not choose a language. If someone who picked up the phone cannot answer your question, ask them to transfer you to TIER 2.

Option 2:

Dial 1-866-953-7684

Option 3:

Call 1-800-375-5283

Press 1 to continue to English

Press 2 for case status

Press 1 if you know your receipt number

Press your receipt number 922(WAC) then your numeric receipt number

Option 4:

Dial 1-800-375-5283 then press 1,2,2,4,2,1 then enter receipt number then press 1.
