My fears came true. After waiting for 9 months we got our case denied. I just got out of the phone with Tier 2 she said our case is with supervisor now, but as for now it's a denial. I have no words to describe how sad am I at this moment.

I'm sorry to hear this. But, until u recieve something in the mail or other notification I would just wait.

The only reason I can think of it is because when I received my RFE and I resent back my divorce decree the court made a mistake in my ex-husband's first name. I have noticed this and I sent it one more time but they probably did not accept it. It's so sad to wait for night months and nothing. I cannot wait so much more to be close to my fiance. It's heartbreaking.

Holding my breath waiting on a response for my 2nd inquiry sent on the 17th of September.  I’m just hoping its not another “wait 45 days in adjudication.” Fingers crossed.💔

NOA1: December 13th

286 Days & Counting

Are you pending security checks? I recommend starting to contact your senators and ombudsman. The online inquiries do nothing and neither does calling the customer service. They're just there to make you feel better and give the illusion of customer service. Tier 2 Supervisor refused to contact the officer working on my case or even the service center. Gave me a 10 minute long speech on how security is important instead of trying to see what's actually wrong with the case.

@Nov2017AD Oyy veyy 😨 ! I got lucky a few weeks back, spoke to a tier 1 and the lady told me well it appears that an officer is looking at your case, but no decision yet keep waiting.  I asked so am I still under going security checks, she replied no an officer has your case on their desk. Now I don't know if to believe in her response.  I will most likely contact Ombudsman by the end of the week if I don't get some sort of a different reply back on Inquiry.  If she had told me, oh your pending security checks then I would understand delays on their end. But nope supposedly on an officers desk for quite a while now unfortunately.

It seems very unlikely to receive a denial for a typo......

Contact your senators as well. They will reply within a week. I contacted ombudsman and the current wait time is 90-120 business days...5+ months....

USCIS responses are not trustworthy at all.

Wow ombudsman current wait time is ridiculous too! Thank you for that information though, and best of luck to you, I see you are waiting on a NOA2 as well.  We will all get there eventually 🙏

This is the only reason I can think of right now. No criminal records and we have met the requirements for the K1. But who knows. 😒

Maybe this will jar your memory.

Here on VJ they have created a spreadsheet where couples have added their RFE information and it makes for a good primer while you are waiting for your RFE.

You are in "today's" normal processing for USCIS. You're trying to push a donkey up a hill when all you have to do is stand back and let the donkey move up the hill on its own accord. Here let me help you.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Also, if you feel you are far out from processing times then you may want to consider suing USCIS.

"Supervisory Review" simply means that now a supervisor is looking into this case because it might be complex for the regular officer to make a decision. this might be the reason why it's delayed.  Hopefully you hear something soon. You could call and ask to speak to a tier 2 supervisor.
