Thank you! My RFE was about the intent to marry letter from my fiancé which I did include originally but it was handwritten so I sent a updated typed intent letter as well as police records from my local police department in which I could not get since my records were expunged so I needed to provide a notorized statement! I sent it back on 8/18/18 it was received on 8/21 the date of my approval notice is 8/26. However nothing on the website is updated. Hope this helps!!

Don't know why it took so long but my RFE was just the simple translation of my fiance's intent to marry letter that I missed, once I got that RFE letter I mailed the translation the next day. That really set me back almost 2 months...can't believe I forgot to translate that letter I'm still bummed about it

NOA1 OLD Site:  Dec 7th

NOA1 NEW Site: Dec 11th

No RFE

It will officially hit the 9 month mark at the end of this week with no response or decision from USCIS.  I received the following message from them on 8/12/2018..  Not sure if this means anything from the other posts that I've seen so far.

Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

Same date as you. the 45 days passed friday so I called today and the person said you still have to wait. I ended up doing another inquire about a case outside normal processing time so they can see that my case is still not approved.

Yeah, I sort of thought they would do that.  Why do they even promise you a 45 day window if they're just going to give you the same answer again..

I have to wait until 9/22 and I'll probably get another 45 days.

Hii guys!

See now i’m getting worried/confused/paranoid. Why is it that some of my fellow December buddies that are still waiting for an NOA2 received a number of “specific” days to hear back on a hopeful new status (30-45days) after an inquiry?

My personal response in an email only stated this:

The status of this service request is:

On 07/18/2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Our records show that your I-129F is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.”

As some stated above they were “supposed” to hear back in a certain amount of days. Just wondering if it makes a difference whether or not a certain amount of days is stated in an inquiry response VS my inquiry response? Sorry for any confusion!

NOA1: Dec13

Last action taken according to those USCIS weekly emails: July 31st

They may run some background checks and maybe that is why they are not sure about how many days that may take. I would strongly suggest you contact your congressman and senator office.

Somebody posted a while ago about that you can now "sue " USCIS if your case is outside of normal processing time. They cannot give you a 45 days window every 45 days.  Contact your congressman or senator. Use every tool you can. I am a december filler as well and still waiting after an RFE.  It is so frustrating when you are left behind.

The government has been a little quiet since 8/8/2018 when I got my NOA2. Then today I received this "The National Visa Center sent your K1 visa petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam" Guess things are moving again. For all those who are still waiting for the K1 (pre-approval for the DS-160) I know the pain but keep patient, it will come...only to wait even more for the next steps 😞

Thank you for your input Victoria 😔.. I know we are all so frustrated at this point. But you’re right I may reach out to congress/senator. I was just giving them the benefit of the doubt this month. Im also terrified to actually call USCIS and be told over and over again to just wait. (I have not called them Yet)

Prayers for all that are still waiting 🙏
