We are still waiting too.. I hope we ll get it soon! noa 1 - December 29, rfe - July 22.. it is so hard to wait for so long..

Your times are still reasonable compared to others. Just your RFE at around 200 days was an excellent sign in my eyes. Means that your case isn't lost or forgotten by an adjudicator or something. I'm at 223 days without any news.

Hello everyone! Silent reader on here since December 😣. Just wanted to let those know who are still waiting that I am unfortunately still waiting as well! 258days.

Noa 1: December 13th (old)

December 18th (new)

I did put in an online inquiry over a month now. However the email I received following up on the inquiry never stated a time frame (30-40-60days) like I read on here from others. Well fingers crossed for these coming days.

Hi everyone,

Update on our case... @ day 245

We got an NOID in the mail yesterday (dated from last week) so we have 30 days from last week to respond will *all* (oops) of the info that we stupidly left out. It may still take a while after this to get an approval, I guess it depends how quick they look at it, I have seen some RFE responses be days and some weeks but at least there is some movement and they have actually had a chance to look at it!

My Fiance has an infopass booked for early today which we booked weeks ago, he only got the NOID late last night by the time he arrived home from having been with his family. We decided there is no point cancelling the infopass half an hour before he is due to go to it (by the time they open and he can call them this morning it won't benefit anyone else as they wont be able to book it and get there within the 20 something minutes turnaround) so he is going to take all of our response information that we have ready for the NOID to the infopass and get the officer to check it all before we send it, that way it doesn't waste the appointment and we have a sanity check before we submit all of the info as it is an NOID and if we miss anything then they are sure to deny it outright. Then I guess we send it and just wait, with our fingers crossed, for a quick approval so I can start doing my bit and booking appointments etc here.

How is everyone else going? Has anyone heard anything?

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

I am sorry for asking but is NOID and intention of denial ? Also you already had an RFE before or this NOID is the first thing you have heard since NOA 1. Thank You and good luck with everything.

For those of you still waiting on an approval. Did you have any luck with the help of a congressman or the ombudsman or anything else?

We contacted our congresswoman and USCIS told her office that our case is pending review by an adjudicator, what ever that means, and for us to wait another 30-45 days. We also filed an online inquiry but we're probably going to get that same response back.

Is there anything to be done or can we only wait?

My congressman got involved in my case as well (My case is a total mess). She texted me yesterday with the same thing that USCIS is still reviewing my case and to allow them 30 days for an answer. She also mentioned that our case is with an adjudicator and the officer is aware that the case has an Congressional interest .I believe this is a generic answers for the congressman office. A tier 2 told me rudely last week that involving a congressman office will not speed up my case. I do not know what to think. This is my experience at least.

I wanted also to add that USCIS are working on February now to show to the public that they are working. Those few cases left from Sept, Oct, Nov or Dec. are pushed from one desk to another and they look at those whenever they have a moment which is not fare, but is nothing we can do at the moment.

It ok, no need to be sorry!

Yes, it is a notice of intent to deny. We did not get an RFE the NOID is the RFE just a more intense one. This is the first movement we have seen on our case at all since NOA1, yes.

Turns out the individual at the infopass was unable to/did not offer us any help with checking our evidence she just said "you can get a lawyer". So that was also no help at all. We are going to submit all of our evidence tomorrow as per what is listed in the NIOD and just hope and wish that we have it exactly right because there is no room for even the tiniest error now, unfortunately

Is your NOID asking for more evidence of you having a genuine relationship, or what are they asking for (if it is not a secret)? I have been to infopass regarding my case they are helpless. The USCIS officers there are pretty much like tier 1 so they cannot do much for you. Having a lawyer it does not save you from problems. I hired a lawyer and she absolutely  did nothing for us. People are saying if you get a lawyer you dont get RFE, I got one for a stupid mistake and I have heard others had problems as well. They take a lot of money but that's about it.

You are right, but it doesn’t make me feel easier.. I hope we will get it soon and we check email and mail every day. It is so annoying .. did you call to USCIS?

May I ask what was your RFE about and if the 27 was the date when you received it or the day you sent it back. I am asking because I got and RFE on the 26th but never heard anything back yet. Thank You and congrats.
