Hello all, after 7 months and an inquary we took an answer: RFE

Please I’m so worried, do you know what that means?

When USCIS is reviewing your I-129f and if it finds any information that is either missing or is incomplete then they will issue what's called an RFE. The RFE just lets you know exactly what information they're looking for in order to complete your I-129f. They'll mail it to you, you'll read it over and you'll gather the information together that the are asking for so the can complete the adjudication process. Once you have that information then you'll return it per their instructions. About  about 2 weeks after receiving your reply then they will complete the adjudication and make a decision on your case.

Me too. Don't worry. It is usually something simple, and once you return the requested info then your case will get approved shortly after. At least that is what everyone is saying... My RFE was sent out on 8/28 and I should get it in a few days. I have no idea what it is for.

Don't worry :)

thanks a lot, hopefully you get approved soon! 🙏🏻

Thanks a lot, I just told my fiancee this! It was very useful! 🙏🏻

That will definitely ease the pain of waiting! I just spent a week in Budapest with mine. It’s a shame we couldn’t celebrate the approval last week but we’ll take what we can get.

I'm going for 3 weeks....and going to enjoy every moment of it

Yes that is correct. It’s taking anywhere from 10-15 business days after noa2 to get your case number from nvc and it’s also my understanding they send out cases every 2 weeks. The last batch went out Aug 21 but there were people who got their case number aug 17 and didn’t get sent out in that batch. I am 11 business days waiting and should get any day now but recognize I might not get sent out sept 4 and then have to wait another 2 weeks. Patience patience patience

Wishing you all the luck in the world you’ll get your case number in time to get sent out Sept 4! Some days, well who am I kidding, most days,  I seem to be running low on patience. Inside I’m a two year old having the biggest temper tantrum yelling and screaming “I don’t want to be patient anymore!” I just hope I am sent out with the Sept 18 batch....

So I vowed to call USCIS everyday since Aug 13th when I was informed I would be getting an RFE and finally today after talking to a tier 2 the infamous RFE has finally been mailed I received a txt and email shortly after stating the same thing. I must also let u all know in the txt they ent me there was a link to check case status on the website. However i went to myacountuscis.gov or whatever that sight is and the website still said my case was received....so then I went back to the txt they sent me and clicked on the link inside the txt and that one said they had sent out and RFE but the site with the 2 step verification still say received. I'm hoping to get the RFE by Saturday so I can get it mailed back to them.

Woe, Im thinking we are going to have the same issue, on Monday fiance called and tier 1 told we are getting a rfe, actually in the old site it says that our request was responded, but new website says the case is received and no update. He will call on monday or tuesday if we dont received any mail this weekend. Its so frustrating evry step of this for us that have wAited long time and nobody knows nothing when u call, but Hopefully you received yours this weekend and keep going on!

So at day 221 after calling USCIS a few times was told that my case was approved. The next day I checked the website and still nothing so I called again because I wanted to be sure and again was told that I was approved and that the letter was mailed on the 21st.

I checked the website everyday just to have confirmation and nothing.

Then on the 24th USPS Informed Delivery confirmed that USCIS did indeed send a letter which looks like it is a NOA2. (Attached) I've checked the mail every day and still nothing🤔

I checked both websites and they both still say that my case was received blah blah... the same thing for last 7.5 months. 🤔🤔

I filed a lost mail report with USPS so hopefully it turns up soon. I'm not sure yet how important it is to have the NOA2 in my possession. I'm assuming I'm going to need copies of it later on.

I sure hope my case at least made it to NVC. My concern is that if the electronic system that connects to the website hasn't yet received this information then perhaps it hasn't been forwarded to NVC? I hope not.

Anyway just thought I'd share this and rant a little.

As what i have read from USPS informed delivery, scanned mails that are arriving may vary in time you will receive them. Just because you can see it today doesn’t mean it will arrive also today. Some mails still takes time for you to receive it physically. But if after 2weeks you haven’t received it yet, then you can already contact them for lost mails.

Hope this helps.😊

That's my hope. I keep checking everyday. 🤞

Just seems so strange as I'm in Arizona and mail from California is 2-3 days tops typically.  I've never had one go on 8 days even from the East coast. So strange.

I hope your case moves quickly.
